Guess what's back. Back again. Lochhy back. Tell a friend

Book you leave as it's the 5th edition of 12 Pubs of Lochhead.  It may not have won a FFDU award (yet again), but this is a guaranteed winner in our books.

Like usual we start from our good friends at Four Kings, and visit a handful of pubs on the way to the Phoenix game, before returning to Courtenay Place after the game via a few more pubs. Pretty simple really.

So this year, it's taking place before and after the City/Heart game on Sunday, 30 November 2014.

Follow the hashtag #12PubsOfLochhead to track, and join in, the Fever’s crawl. Or download the Yellow Fever App and follow the ‘2014 12 Pubs of Lochhead’ forum thread.

https://www.facebook.com/events/762188570520322/?r...

Here is the (very loose) itinerary for the day.

11.00am Four Kings (Cnr Taranaki St & Dixon)
12:00pm Mac Brewbar (4 Taranaki Street)
12:30pm St John's (5 Cable Street)
1.00pm Chicago Sports Café (1 Queens Wharf)
1.30pm Foxglove (Shed 3/2-6 Jervois Quay)
2.00pm The Pub (101 The Terrace)
3.00pm The Backbencher (34 Molesworth St)
4:00pm Stadium Mezzanine Bar (Waterloo Quay)

5:00pm Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne City

7:00pm The Old Bailey (Cnr Lambton Quay & Ballance St)
7:30pm Bethel Woods (73 The Terrace)
10:00pm Molly Malone's (134 Courtenay Pl)
10:30pm Electric Avenue (132 Courtenay Pl)

Not sure I remeber any of the matches played on a 12 pubs day.

Of course spending a half of one of them getting my face put back together after smashing it open on seats didn't help.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Leave should be approved by the employer. Will have to discuss with the other half of the mortgage equation this evening...

Preparing for that discussion by looking into logistics now.

Leave approved. Mortgage sharing person informed... and even suggested I get a room in town. She's a keeper!

it's a shame bars close at 4am now. Have had some great 12 pubs all nighters. Now with them closed at 4 and this being on a Sunday I'm going to need a couch to coma on. Or a park bench.

Im out.

No leave possible as the monday after the match will be our last major stock drop at work. 40m3 of good times!!!

Logistical nightmare that would have involved me being back in Napier by 8:30am, coherant and ready for action. If I cant attempt all 12 Pubs then it is not worth it. Will save my leave for a few trips in the New Year

*sensible sad face*

Not coming down only to leave after the match.

No Electric Avenue = No 12 Pubs!

12 Pubs is what is getting me through this week, and in particular, the team divisional away day I'm currently on.

Away days are fun-filled, action packed events when you make stupid promises to each other to behave for the rest of the year and then shoot off to the pub to spoil everything you've said. I'm guessing in your case, there's a 2-3 day gap between the two.........
