Report from the stands:

• lots of possessions. 
• Sydney looked dangerous hit diags behind the back four and getting it wide and early crosses behind the back four. 
• Gorrin, Riera and Bonevacia looked quality as midfield 3
• Burns looked dangerous but nothing to work with.
  
• WeeMac looked a little lost.

Would be happy for Boyd or Cunningham to come into that line up. Boyd really impressed last season. And Cunningham seems to be able to finish. Or has on occasion for us. The concern is still where the goals are coming from. Rodriguez, McG, Burns and Brockie needing to chip in a lot. 

Cunningham always seems to be high energy and Boyd seemed to be able to create chances and this could be his season to bag a few. Fenton?? Been so messed around. Seemed like a good winger/forward.

Weemac chipped over the bar - "the chance of the match". Brockie "sprayed a shot wide" from inside the box.

Lia has been injured so we don't know where he is in the pecking order.

Ernie must have a place for him somewhere. He gave him another two years in the middle of last season.

New world also gives out two for one deals to the home and garden show. I don't think they will be hard to come by.

Can't wait for the game. Missed every game last season as I went on a round the world trip and was gutted to never see Carlos play live in a Nix shirt.

He apparently led the team in assists, shots, crosses and chances created.

Sure, he threw a stroppy towards the end there - and I don't think getting rid of him was the wrong move; yet he's still in the top 5 attacking players we've ever had on our books. Lots of revisionist history on here.

The word is that everyone in the nix was glad to see the arse end of him.

Would probably trade some assists and goals for a bit of defensive work.
