ok so 2 questions

1: Penalties. What are we doing? Am I opted only one going "Well this won't be converted" now when we are awarded one. If I was a smart opposition, it would be worth conceding a penalty at the expense of an easy tap in cause you would have better odds of it being saved

2: 3 spaces left. DiMairo has had big raps but who is this kid Singh that seems to have popped up. Is he the real deal? Is he a chance of getting signed? We are overloaded in the midfield already but do you lock this guy in for the future? What about the chance of DiMairo with Fentons injury propensity and our lack of depth at fullback/defence in general?

2: Singh, 16y, is one of the kids who get scholarship from Winston Reid. I guess he is here to stay for a while, no need to give him a contract, Winston pays the bills for us.

One day Jeff, but it won be a BIG ask right now. Sarpeet is a real talent. He has been very impressive every time I have seen him, but he still has more development to go. Phoenix Youngsters Impress In Sydney I am using my phone and having trouble pasting a link, but go to www.wellingtonphoenix.com and find the article "Have a read of Chris Greenacre's comments.

He impressed in the U-17 qualifiers and joined the WeeNix with Rogerson after that.  Ran the midfield with Joe Bell all Winter in Cap Prem.  Good vision, good touch, very promising.

Is this the guy who Hudson got on for the AWs? We like it when Greenacre plays him?

Maybe Hudson should get Greenacre as his assistant? That would have some 'Nix/AW continuity, but still have seperation of church and state?

Rogerson seemed to be dominant at this level going on the number of chances he was creating.

Thanks Bwtcf.

I probably worded my question wrong and it was poor. I guess I am not asking if he would step in today. I guess more a "Is he better off on a pro contract developing or in the schoolboy level to develop" bearing in mind his education and all that. If he has the ability for this level, then would he not be better of as a pro?

I guess from reading, the kid has talent and is 16. I just see him potentially being snapped away. Kids will do strange things when dollars and stars are in their eyes.

Thats the good thing about getting them in the professional environment (training with the senior team etc) from an early age, they won't be incredibly overwhelmed when it comes to making those decisions

Watched the Hong Kong 7's - he looks classy, but the wind could pick him up and throw him to Antarctica at the moment. Give him a few more years; he is far too slight for the A-League currently, no matter how good his ability is. He's smaller than Patafta.

He looks even smaller than Marco was when he first came in; obviously only 16 so a lot of time to develop that though.
