big fan of this year's scarf.

Sucks for people making those bitchin blankets but as a scarf I'm digging it.

So what is ticketec going to do before our nextgame when the same thing will either happen again umless they reprogramme their turnstiles. Perhaps we should ask, how many season ticket holders got through without any issues?

My family and I got in with our season tickets ok - the problem arose when we went to take our seats and discovered another season ticket holder in one of them - turns out both he and I had been allocated the exact same seat - our bay / row / seat numbers matched.

Luckily we both saw the funny side of things and he decided to sit elsewhere.

But I wonder if it happened to others as well

Wow, that is impressive. Are they aware of this issue now? Anyone?

The other chap took a photo of the two passes and said he'd follow it up.

I'm not worried myself as long as the season pass gets me through the gates.

I don't mind where I sit and there is always empty seats near the away bay if there is a big crowd :)

A workmate of mine went to the game (her family's first ever) with her husband and kids thanks to those free kiddy passes. Now they're going to buy kids memberships even if they don't go to many games, just for the membership pack for the kids.

Great stuff :)

We had our seats changed despite renewing in time but rung up and got it sorted (kinda) but everyone around us who renewed in time have all been shifted away. Oh and we couldn't get thru the gates either also

my seat which i have been in for years also got sold to someone else, but i did not renew on time i never do as i cannot justify paying for something 4 months before i need it so i guess it was my fault. i still stood by that seat on the weekend as the person who bought it was either not at the game or was standing with  other people elsewhere.

Should membership numbers include Season Ticket holders whom may not necessarily be "members" so to speak.

How is Brisbane's membership so low in a city of 2.3 million people?

Being a first time season ticket holder (or not) I'm a bit confused. I purchased the season ticket a few days before the first game and all I have still is an email confirmation/transaction summary from ticketek. Is there anything more I have to do? Am I meant to receive some sort of card in the mail or do I have to pick it up from somewhere?

you should receive a pass card in the post. Ring the member hot line and Brenda will sort you out. You'll need e tickets til pass arrives.

Being a Sunday, I doubt any one is working the phones tbh. I guess print a copy of the transaction summary and go to the ticketing office before the game?

Ticketek rant

On Sunday, I brought my girlfriend down for the game. I left early to go to the stadium with a couple of other mates so I could get my membership pack and she stayed behind at the pub with a couple of my other mates. I asked one of my mates if he could get her a discounted ticket with his season ticket.

Me and my mates arrived at the stadium and one of them needed a ticket so I said I could get him a discount with my season ticket. The person at the Ticketek booth had no idea what I was talking about and after explaining about three times, she went and asked a supervisor who showed this other person how to give me the discount. We got a $32 Yellow Fever ticket for $20-40.

After we got in, I met up with my girlfriend who said she had to pay $32 and didn't get a discount. They had gone to another booth and my mate with the season ticket said they asked for the discount but the staff said there wasn't one.

Sounds like both staff we encountered were new but that shouldn't be an excuse. Useless and I got it in the ear for the rest of the night. She was so pissed off that she even started supporting Sydney. My comment of "Oy, quiet in the expensive seats" didn't go down too well.

Yes to this.

I asked - was told, no - then the supervisor tapped the young lad on the shoulder and said it was "a thing" - ie a marketing promise to ticket holders.

To all other Season Ticket holders - don't take no for an answer - stand there and hold up the line until they give you the discounted ticket that was promised. They will get it eventually - or the training will catch up - but you have every right to ask for that discount.

I tried to get a discount for mates in round 1 and the guy at the booth looked at us like we were stupid, went to talk to his supervisor who laughed and shook his head.

It is meant to be a thing isn't it?

I ordered them a month and a half out fromthe season and have been following up with brenda from 2 weeks before the season.

Just to clarify because I'm new to Wellington, is it actually free buses to and from the game if you have a season ticket?

All current season (membership) ticket holders are "members"

Only way not to be a Member is buy ticket 1 at a time or get complimentary tickets.

Not this season. Has been in previous seasons though.

Even if you have a season ticket card, it not guaranteed it is working at the westpac turnstiles. I wonder if this it fixed this Saturday.

I was told last week that they were still in the process of finalising postage on membership packs. Originally they weren't even going to send it out and I was supposed to pick it up at one of the first 3 games (I'm in Auckland).

I signed up back in July, so they've had my money for months and I've still only got my membership card (which only turned up the Friday before round 1).

For a club that almost lost their A-League license because of a lack of members, this is an absolute joke. Won't be renewing next season that's for sure.

I agree, the Club still has a long way to go to engage their fans.  They don't tend to reply very often to messages on facebook or twitter.  It's pretty poor.  Basic communication doesn't seem to happen.  They should be bending over backwards to keep the fans they have.

Mine didn't work at the first game ( a common problem I believe) but was fine at the Sydney game.

They were advertising for a Fan Engagement/Community Officer in the off season. Maybe they didn't fill it?

Just produce the letter and your Season Ticket and they will give you the pack. The white caravan type stall just inside the gates.

Number 8, mine did not work at the first game but did at the second.

Steve, you are right on so many levels. I have 4 ST people at my work, two of them have decided not to bother next season and when I offered them a ride to the Hamilton game, they have turned it down because they already fed up. And they too have been there for 10 years.

Finally received our cards this week (only got around to renewing a couple of days before the first game). But we are unable to go to the game tomorrow night due to another commitment. Anyone know if the membership packs will still be available at the following game, or can they be collected from somewhere else?
