From the outside that seems like a good decision, he can stay at home and develop, because despite scoring 6 goals this season he is still not the finished product. Too many A League players see the lights of Europe after a breakout season and go too early (Arzani, Jacob Italiano, Yeboah etc). He should (and no doubt he would) look to follow the paths of McCowatt and Cacace and take incremental steps when (not if) he heads to Europe
Cacace is the best example of what a young player should do before going to Europe in his break out season he played almost every game which is already a lot better than Waine and then he stayed for another season playing the most minutes. Now he's getting really good minutes overseas

Of those off contract, I’d like to see extensions for Fenton, Laws, McGarry and Taylor. If possible Devlin but seems he might be leaving alongside Dávila. With Payne becoming a full time centre back by the looks of things surely it’s about time Jack-Henry Sinclair gets signed to challenge Fenton at right fullback. Could even give guys like Dane Schnell a possible trial as a box-to-box midfielder, given Ridenton seems to have fallen off a cliff performance-wise.

I'd also give trials to Oli Whyte & Trevor Zwetsloot. Yes Ridenton, to be let go. Wonder what Matti Steinmann is up to.
I would absolutely be taking Steinmann and Hooper back if they were keen and not too pricey. I don't think a lot of us appreciated how effective Steinmann was going forward while he was here
Money talks and he’s fairly looking for one big final pay check. Doesn’t make it any easier to take. I had hoped we’d build around him. I mean, the cowbells ffs.
Macarthur is our last game of the regular season. I now really hope this becomes the games that determines who makes the top six. And Davila has a blinder scoring a brace and eliminates the Bullsharkters from the final series.

Out of the players off-contract, I would love to have these players re-signed: Cameron DEVLIN [u23] Louis FENTON Joshua LAWS [u23] James MCGARRY [u23] Steven TAYLOR [V]
I really think we should just become a development club since we have no ambitions on winning silverware let alone holding great players, which is pretty much what we are now to some extent.
It's not quite the team it once was, does not even own its stadium anymore and might well be knee deep in poop financially like many other British clubs due to Covid.
Now would actually be a good time for the Nix to get some decent players out of the UK as rumours abound that the money being offered from the Championship downwards to players has dried right up.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if his family have really enjoyed living in greater SYD more then Wellington so he took the easy option, especially with all the money on offer.
Being based in the 'Gong has worked against us in more ways then one.
Lets be frank an honest SYD is a far more popular place to live then WLG especially for those with $$$$.
I really believe we need to move on from Fenton at right back. We need someone better.
I mean did get an assist, nearly set up one goal and then made the interception that lead to our equaliser. Sure he’s not Libby, but I reckon he’s done better than McGarry, for one. Would you rather have Galloway back?

I'm talking about the whole season and in fact every season. His consistent inability to cross a ball or even beat a defender lets us down when we are a counter attacking team.
I'm sure our scouting dept and the club can find another former Hot Prospect who maybe didn't do it at the top level in Europe and bring them over. We're getting good at it.

I am absolutely outraged. Royz is saying something I utterly agree with, which means I must be wrong. :(
