Man some of you are killjoys. I vote Brisbane Roar, cos I hated the Roar last year.
Killjoys? Huh? Rivaly is a two way thing
Why not enjoy beating all of them, they are all  just the same, australian teams

So one week we are playing Australian Team A, next week Australian Team B etc. Yawn.
No. Oneweek  we play Sydney, next week we play Melbourne, or whoever.
Thats how it works . Unless you wanna play with yourself. If your gonna yawn about beating an aussie team who think we are also rans ( all of them do) , well may I suggest some sort of life injection for you. They are all f**kin aussie teams, they all think the Nix are pissants,  isn't that enough?

I hear the Rocky theme in the background when I read your post. No, a big black dude talking to an American Football team at the start of a crap movie - "you are all PISSANTS". Then Martin Laurence turn ups for supposed comic effect, but he lays it on too thick and the timing's off. Then you change channels and something average like Bones is on, but you can't be bothered getting up cos the cat's sitting on your lap so you keeping watching, thinking Bones is really hot, and sometimes scientist geek chicks are hot like Scully from the X Files, but Abby from CSI not so much...sorry what were we talking about?

would have to be GC

All that crap they gave us about the  Smeltz to Turkey deal. Then threatening to take us to a FFA hearing etc.....then weasling out of it in such a smary way.

We have bad blood against them.....

I don't hate anyof the other A-League sides....don't like many of them, but I respect the likes of Melb coz they have a winners philosophy and they took it on the chin when we beat them in the greatist Phoenix game ever at the ROF.

Seeing what went own on the Newcastle thread after we bet them in Welly last season was pretty classy.

I voted Perth but I think maybe Sydney.  Back in the Knights days and in the first Phoenix season it seemed to be the team that we all got the biggest kick out of beating.
Supporter world's best and worst football teams: Waikato/WaiBop, Kingz, Knights, Phoenix, The Argyle, The Whites & the All Whites

+1. And it ties into the comments Auskiwi was making about Australian teams expecting to beat us. I think sometimes we as fans and maybe even the team themselves buy into that too much. Especially last season, our lack of motivation and uninspired play was our own worst enemy. I even believe that RH doesn't lack tactical nouse, but probably the winning mentality all of the Australian (and Scottish/Israeli-Australian) coaches have.

On a 'team I dislike the most' basis. CGU.

Kosmina's 'winning mentality' didn't get him far, nor van Egmond's for that matter.

If I remember correctly, van Egmond won a Premiership; and in the case of Kosmina, it doesn't take simply a winning mentality to be successful, but it is hard to get B without A.
