Leo Bertos: Perth -> Wellington

Apparently now confrimed:
http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=15&ContentID=55536

"The news of Colosimos exit was delivered just hours after The West Australian revealed another of Karis clients, Glory midfielder Leo Bertos, was also on his way out of the club, having signed for his hometown team Wellington Phoenix."

Feverish, Bay and Yomcat, could we maybe leave banter out of this thread. I know I'm not a mod but I think this should be a factual list of transfers as they are confirmed rather than a discussion.

Leo Bertos to the 'Nix, from the Dom Post:

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Beat me to it! Didn't young Greek Boi have the true oil on this one eh? Cracker signing and a two year deal with Leo only 26 and in a winger's prime is good business. Good luck to him I hope that it's a good move for him and the club.

You could say he's transferred from the A-League to Rio? It's relevant and confirmed so I see no problem with it. Good on ya Inter.

For the Nix, yeah.

Leo Bertos - Perth to Wellington
Cleberson - Wellington/No Club - America (Brazil)
Mark Bridge - Newcastle to Sydney
Simon Colosimo - Perth - Released

Those are the 100% confirmed movements so far.

Get your facts right young man. I think this is what you were referring to

"Farina has moved to safeguard against worries of losing first-choice goalkeeper Liam Reddy for the season by signing former Sydney FC stopper Justin Pasfield.

Pasfield, released by Wollongong Wolves, will sit on the bench against his old club as incumbent Griffin McMaster's back-up.

The 22-year-old was Clint Bolton's understudy for two seasons with the Blues and replaces Marko Sutalo as third-stringer until Reddy returns to fitness after breaking his thumb three weeks ago.

Reddy was originally ruled out for just a fortnight and now appears in some doubt for the rest of the finals.

An Illawarra bloke playing to the Clogs? *shudders* Feels like treachery. I'd rather see my hometown lads playing for the Phoenix or a Wollongong franchise only

Let's keep this a NEWS thread aye lads.  I've just deleted a lot of "Leo Bertos is great" posts, which isn't news, and for which there are about seven thousand other threads.

This thread is just for confirmed transfer news.

The Cleberson transfer is borderline but amusing so I'll allow it!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Okay, checked it out. Wiki had no source but found this via the ABC.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/01/19/2142195.htm?section=sport

Central Coast Mariners defender Alvin Ceccoli will join Adelaide United in time for its Asian Champions League campaign.

The 33-year-old, gearing up for the A-League finals with the Mariners, recently returned from Japan where he spent the majority of last season with Avispa Fukuoka.

He also played for Sydney FC in the inaugural A-League grand final.

Ceccoli has signed on with Adelaide until the end of the Asian Champions League campaign but coach Aurelio Vidmar says a decision will be made whether to keep him afterwards.

"We'll wait and see until after the Champions League to see whether we decide to make him a permanent member of the club," Vidmar said.

Ceccoli, capped six times for Australia, will join Adelaide once his finals commitments are over with Central Coast.

GB, I was fairly sure Bridge's move is confirmed but I can't find anything now that does confirm it.
