Lol!

He also enjoys getting paid to play, but wonders where his training allowance is.

At least at the Nix he will get money transfered into his bank account every fortnight rather than finding  a bundle of cash stuffed in his boot after training.

Actually what $$$ would he be on at the Nix?  I heard the youff get $40,000......older guys starting would probably get $60,000+????? . Not bad for 4 months playing time.

A League minimum this season is AUD$48k I think. So more than that.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Food's better in Auckland. And the weather. And the beaches. All important if you come from Spain. He'll be back.

Well played.

I think both AK and Welli have very good food for cities of their size.

New CBA upped the minimum wage for senior plays up to 50k.

Pretty random trolling - especially because Wellington does have some pretty top restaurants.

The weather thing isn't as cut and dry as you might think, rains less here and we have more sunshine hours.  Auckland clearly wins but not by as much as Aucklanders like to pretend.

And you know what? We have a profesional football team.

Ernie on Radio Sport earlier saying he sees Albert as a back up at the moment, but is another option for a weak area. He pretty much said he wanted a defensive midfielder that can also pass and hold possession. Said he'd compliment Hicks and Hernandez who are more attacking players.

Most of the senior Nix players would be on 100k+ a year. I can imagine Ifill and Hernandez would both probably be on around 250k each.
Seeing as Riera was semi professional and he wouldn't havn't been earning that much at ACFC, I'd guess he'd be on about 80,000 or so for this season.

Ahhhh... you know you are referring to the wrong Riera?

It's the Spain international and current Galatasaray, former Liverpool  player who was born in "Manacor, Majorca".

The Nix's Riera is from Catalonia (Barcelona being the major city)- hence my reference to Manuel from Fawlty Towers above.

You're not the joker who's sabotaged the famous Riera's Wikipedia profile are you?

That's an epic world-scale sabotage, for sure:

So has there been any word on when Riera will be back? How injury going?

I think I remember the first reports saying out for about four weeks?

While it was nice to win last week against the Jets there was a big Riera sized hole in the midfield.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Albert Riera definitely out for Sunday. Has seen Phoenix doctor and physio; will now see a specialist in next 1-2 days #aleague

Bugger, knew he'll still be out this week but hopefully the specialist has good news.

I feel like it's taking a long time to assess this injury... only seen a GP and a physio??? This is the same pace as me after a knock at indoor
