Does anyone know what the best effort in season ticket sales the Kingz or Knights ever got?
From memory it was under 1000 but I could have that all screwy

I'll ask Robin if she remembers, if I see her online.

...and I only came home via Napier once.  Central Plateau was closed so went up via Taranaki and back via Napier.  Back when I had the Peugeot, the extra k's were a joy.

Have to say [in mitigation] that Napier have a great youth football tournament. Maybe Hard news can get working on some of those Hawkes Bay Rugby fellas & gals to come on board!!!

Why not start a regular competition for ONLY the home games.
 
One suggestion could be in guessing to the nearest 'official' number of the gate attendance prize could be a double entrance [free] ticket to the next home game.
 
This could generate even more interest in home support, particularly from the younger section

I remember going up to Napier when I was about 14 for a football tourny. Was great fun.

I'm hoping the Backbencher will have an area set aside for Season Ticket holders who couldn't get into the game.

A lot of people keep branding a number of 200 season ticket holders for the knights.  This was a falicy as they sold aprox 400 tickets to students at Massey University Albany (mostly to Asian students), this was where the guys trained.
 
So whilst the Phoenix have done far better people should be too harsh of the Knights and as to crowd numbers the Kingz got good numbers in the first two seasons.
 
All that we can hope for with the Nix is that NZ sporting antipathy doesn't settle in too quickly (as it will. dont matter if its Nix, Knights, Knigz, Lions, Blues etc).
