Shes too small to be able to break his ribs.

Loos, Loos, Rebecca Loos. Those melons would damage a bigger man than Becks.

Its no longer a problem.

Me and my mate noticed he wasn't fully fit, he kept grabbing the left hand side of his chest (with his right hand).

Didn't he claim to be suffering from bronchitis?

I keep hitting the wrong post reply button and having to retype everything.  Very annoying.

Yeah I was wondering why he kept clutching around his heart area. Thought he was going to have a heart attack or something.

Couldn't be more impressed then with the man.

His demeanour and whole approach while he was here have changed my opinion of him -  from probable egotistical prat to actual good guy. Could even be a regular Kiwi.

Noticed that myself but didn't think much of it at the time

His stock has risen considerably imo since he toured.

"I could hardly run or breathe in New Zealand"

Think of the outcome if he'd been 100%.

A true professional.

Respect.....I said to my wife during the game that it looked like he had broken a rib..what a performance given that degree of discomfit....we got our moneys worth then as he stayed on for the full 90...

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

He was holding his left chest with right hand a lot of the time (I watched this on telly). He also didn't move 100%

Props to him for playing the 90 minutes though. Great footballer.

I got a couple of cracked ribs a couple of seasons ago and didn't even consider playing again for about 6 weeks. Then again, I am a soft old s**t!

Huge respect to the man.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Wow. IMO he's now a man's man, not just one for the ladies.

...and I was told that Beckham turned up at the hospital to see some kids. Something he instigated on a no media condition....
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Measure of the man IMO, I was really skeptical about him but since Friday his stock has risen a hell of a lot with me.

Not broken ribs, he's just putting his match fee into his top pocket.

What a great guy and an equally great footballer

I was fully impressed too.
I was worried it might have all been a circus, but the humility and grace (and accurate long balls) of the man himself were a wonderful example.

Let's hope he's inspired the Phoenix youth players of 2017!

Don't get me wrong i was pretty stoked to see beckham play just as what I was stoked to see juninho 2/3 three weeks ago, but..... we didn't get 100% of him if he had a broken rib....

For the average football supporter perhaps it would've been better if he was at the height of his power but for your average teenage girl he was just sexy enough as he was.

anyways thank you tezza.

100% or not he made an awesome impact on football in Wellington. If they'd postponed it seems to me that the game would never have taken place.

Super impressed with Becks that he played through a painful injury like that!

Queenslander 3x a year.
