Post all sightings and rumours regarding Beckham's whereabouts while in Wellington here.

No tyre-kickers or miserable bastards trying to spoil our fun please (that includes the mods).

My first hot-tip is that Beckham will be attending the National Women's League Final between Capital Football and Auckland Football at Newtown Park on Saturday (kick off 2:30pm) and presenting the trophy at the end.

All official sources will deny this information is true, including the Wellington Phoenix, Wellington City Council, New Zealand Football and Capital Football. This is only so that they can keep crowd numbers under some sort of control. Get there early for your best chance of meeting Becks and getting an autograph or photo.

He's staying at Copthorne on Oriental - so go pick a room to book, hide in the closet for three days - then jump out on him in the middle of the night and ask for an autograph (if he turns you down just say you have cancer or something)

Rumour has it he's going to the Backbencher for dinner.

If he orders the pork, he'll be applying for NZ residency.

I heard he's playing a game of football on Saturday evening. Thats a shame cause he'll miss the Phoenix game.

Its no longer a problem.

Hmmm, I really hope the quality of the rumours in this thread is going to pick up!

The first post is true by the way.

Beckham gets "presented to the fans" at the Adelaide game on Friday night. Would be awesome to see him in a Retro Ricki!

Maybe the YF higher-ups can "arrange" something. Because that would be awesome...

Imagine seeing Beckhan in a Retro Ricki on the cover of Who (are ya) magazine.

Its no longer a problem.

beckham in a retro ricki would be ideal, he'd win over the fans instantly. One of the YF bigwigs should give Tony P one to present him with.

A better opportunity to give him a Retro Ricki will be when he makes his appearance at the National Women's League final on Saturday afternoon. Because it's unofficial and being kept deliberately low-key he and his minders are more likely to be into it. terminator_x2007-11-28 12:41:33

Hmm, I might go to the Womans Final, that would be three soccer matches in two days, sounds great!!

Does anyone know have a means of finding out what flight time or when he's flying his private jet into Wellington?  I think it would be awesome to give the footballs legend the warmest welcome to Wellington!  If anyone finds out a time, or even the day, let me know and I'll be there with the biggest sign ever!

This weekend will be amazing...What club do we think Becks will hit after the game?

For those interested in attending the aforementioned National Women's League final:

http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3520&PN=1

NATIONAL WOMEN'S LEAGUE FINAL
Capital Football vs. Auckland FF
Newtown Park
Kickoff at 2:30pm, December 1st
Entry $5 adults, free for kids

Capital Football beat Waikato-BOP on penalties in their semi-final clash against Waikato-Bay of Plenty, booking them a spot in the final to be hosted here in Wellington, serving as an afternoon appetizer for the Phoenix's match against LA Galaxy at 19:30. Get down and support the black and yellows, so that the A-League isn't Aucklands only loss to Wellington!

OK, here's what we seem to know as at Thursday morning (with a reliability rating out of 10 next to each piece of info):

Thursday

12:40 pm - Arrives at Wellington Airport; continues on to Copthorne Hotel in Oriental Bay (9/10 - there is a rumour that he's actually staying Martinborough and will helicopter in and out of Wellington. Might be worth staking out Heli-Pro on Queens Wharf in the early afternoon).

Friday

11:00 am - 2 hour public training session at Westpac Stadium (10/10)

Afternoon - Round of golf at Trentham Golf Course (3/10)

7:30 pm - Attends Phoenix vs Adelaide game and will be presented to crowd at half-time with rest of LA Galaxy team (10/10)

Saturday

2:30 pm - Attends National Women's League final at Newtown Park. Presents trophy to either Capital Football or Auckland Football (8/10)

7:15 pm - Plays exhibition match against Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium (10/10)

11:30pm - Attends exclusive VIP after-party at World Trade Centre in Ghuznee Street (10/10)

Sunday

Sometime - walk around Wellington's streets with LA Galaxy team-mates (5/10 - time and location yet to be established)

Monday

4:30 pm - Leaves from Wellington Airport (10/10)

There are still some significant blocks of time unaccounted for:

- What is he doing all of Thursday afternoon and evening? Terry's house in Roseneath may be a worth a look. Is he actually going over to Martinborough or not? Can anyone in the Wairarapa confirm this? Maybe he's going to Peter Jackson's place to play with PJ's toys?

- If it's not true that he's playing a round of golf at Trentham what is he actually doing all of Friday afternoon after the training session?

- What is he doing on Friday evening after the Adelaide game? Almost certain that he is being hosted somewhere, but where? Again, is Terry's house worth a look? Either that or some swanky bar in town.

- Saturday morning is free. What will he be doing prior to going to the National Womens League final?

- All day Sunday is unaccounted for apart from a rumoured walk around the city.

- Monday morning and afternoon prior to his departure are also unaccounted for.

So there's still plenty of work to do people - keep those rumours/sightings coming!
