Bertos seemed to be a bit lost in the middle of the park in the last 2 games...I think he's a absolute winger, by playing in the middle there are always traffics around him so really limited his speed & chances of good deliveries.

I don't know why Ricki played him in the middle I thought Ifill would do a much better job there...I'm hoping to see Bertos back to his natural wide role the next home game...thought guys?

He hasn't done as much the last 2 games so suggests something has changed?

Yeah. Agree. He is most effective when on the wing.
We need someone like Caceres through the middle with Daniel on the other wing.

He still ends up on the wing most of the time with Ifill further forward  - doesn't matter where he is on the team sheet valeo2009-09-14 19:15:47

Whats with this "wing" stuff...we dont play 4 2 4 so Bertos and Daniel are wide attacking mids at best.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

we started this week with a 4 - 5 - 1 formation with berto is the middle and ifill and daniel on the wings. when we've played 4 - 4 - 2, I recall bertos and ferrante in the middle, which will become bertos and brown I'd imagine, and when mckain gets pushed back into the mids I'd expect to see daniel and bertos on the wing again.

Mckain should stay in the defence.

I agree, he's played really well there in the last 2 weeks, can't wait for caceras to come into the mids.

Yeah, we have plenty of stocks!  Bertos Jiang Greenacre Ifill Hearfield would do for us, just put Dura & Mc at the back, Ceceres Brown & Lia in the middle.  Don't really mind to see a 7:5 score line  :)

As long as we're on the right side.
You know we belong together...

Thought Bertos was generally playing through the middle though drifted out wide occasionally. Last two weeks he has not looked comfortable in that central role, whoever is playing that AM role has to get forward quickly to support Greenacre but Berots hasn't really managed it and Brown is making the more advanced runs to support the attack and credit to him for it.

Will be interesting to see what happens when Caceres available as he looks well suited to that AM role and with Daniel and Ifill both playing well we have a bit of competition for the wider roles if we stick to that formation.

of course Ricki has noticed it, that's why he's subbed him off in each of the games.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
