It'd probably be a kid who had it coming and afterwards would be a reformed character.

So Ross wins.

fred did well for us, because he was starting to slow his passing down to accomodate his team-mates

he had the abitliy to receive the ball in space, look, turn, check, release (and when he slowed down the release he linked more effectively) he could also go past a player and then release

which was felipe's issue - though he certainly had the ball where he wanted it

Ifill - is between the two - a better team player (and a better finisher) than felipe  and from memory slightly more skilled than Fred in one v one/two situations

a team with felipe (if he followed some instructions), Fred and Iffy plus Smeltz would score a few and thrill any living human

Ifill supporting Smeltz would be awesome.

Four four two rule is duumb. I'd be tempted to go 433 because that's the formation that's worked better then any other for the Phoenix over the years.

                     Reddy

            Siggy          Dura
Manny                              Lochhead

                   Mckain
      Brown                Aloisi

Ifill            Smeltz           Bertos

Moss/Paston
Lia/Hearfield
Felipe/Daniel/Fred
Greenacre/Dadi

I'd have Reddy for sure.
It's only been a handful of matches, but I very seriously doubt we'd be in a playoff position if we didn't have him. He has gained us valuable points.

Proves that to make the grade we need a class 'keeper

Aloisi himself should be in there. If Fred gets picked based on Melbourne then Ross is in as well

Felipe was awesome in his first season for us. Put him in for Fred.

Yeah as soon as i read the article, I thought Aloisi should have been part of the squad.

                     Moss
Manny Durante Sigmund Lochhead
                   Aloisi
           Brown   Fred/Felipe
Ifill            Smeltz               Bertos

Disclaimer: I stole Aloisi's and changed it.

Goalkeeper: Glen Moss
Defenders: N/A*, Andrew Durante, Ben Sigmund, Tony Lochhead
Midfield: Leo Bertos, Ross Aloisi, Tim Brown, Adrian aka "Anthony" Caceres
Strikers: Paul Ifill, Shane Smeltz

*Whoever cant get a game elsewhere on the pitch. Everyone knows a real 'nix best XI would have no Right Back.

Edit: Clearly Mr. Adrian Caceres. At least I spelt his Surname correctly :Saussienixfan2010-02-06 19:25:14

HN's leaving out of Andrew Durante has  left me in shock....
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Who would you have coaching your best Nix XI? Ricki has missed a couple of games hasn't he.
