Thanks to the WCC to do this.

Big screen to broadcast Phoenix game

Phoenix fans who missed out on getting a ticket to this Sunday's sold-out Phoenix vs Newcastle game can watch it for free on a big screen at Queens Wharf.

Westpac Stadium is sold out for the minor semi-final, which kicks off at 4pm.

The 40-square metre screen will be installed on Sunday morning.

Will WCC put it up for the major semi & grand final, assuming we are in it?

Yeah that woudl be a nice idea, for the Finals, (if we make it of cource). I will be at the Kings, but for the more family orientated.

Would love that - bring the famdamlee down in stripeys (I could wear mine too since it's not at RoF) and sit there with our jaffas and wine gums (wonder if the chicago bar sells chips for as much as the stadium).

Edit: Of course we will make it to the minor final.

With the quality of the food at Chicago, you will think you are at the stadium anyway.

Also, being new to the country, I understand where Jaffas are from, but in which part of the country do Wine Gums reside?

I'm slightly disappointed!

Can we please have the big screens in the stadium play the Sydney v Melbourne game at 7pm so we can stay on for that to see who we play next. Mr Jolly2010-03-03 13:16:46

excellent news for the poor buggers who wont be there, once again tony p shows us what a legend he is by actually taking the time to communicate directly with the fans rather than hiding behind a wall of bullsh*t press releases.....good work!

And that is ONE reason why the nix are so bloody great. Tony P's preparedness to come on the forums and communicate direct is most admirable. Well done indeed!

Could Tony P perhaps ask the council on behalf of us for the screen to be up for the 2nd game of the night? I know hes a busy man and all though so if not no problems.

I'd be interested in watching bling v tards on that screen if I can also drink while doing so. If not, off to Four Kings I go.

I take it that screen is in the area by Chicago, so therefore could include a licensed portion.

Should we (or at least Park Life) now apologise to/thank Councillor John "Mystery "Morrison?

 Well done Wellington City Council.

from my memories of November (and there wasn't many from THAT night) the AW's game was replayed straight after the game in the stadium. Perhaps this is what WCC will do again tonight?
