If that is true then TV One must edge out Thompson, Laws and Deaker as d!ckwads of the year.

Except for that brazen hussy Paul (the flat-chested one). She was flaunting it right to the end.

Also, you can debate the quality of coverage as much as you like but I suspect most of you are in the habit of just not watching ONE News so might not even notice coverage given to the Phoenix anyway. I watch it out of loyalty and they do cover the Phoenix (
why do you assume we dont watch one news?  and why are you so loyal to one news.

I tend to watch TV3 (don't always watch the news @ 6) but flick between channels when it comes to sport - just so I can get as much footy as poss.

Not wedded to either over the quality of coverage - I think both their presenters just about choke when it comes to good things about football in NZ. TV3's Gourdie is the better reporter I feel.

I hear some dissent on the cougar call, it's more rikkis chikkies than cougar action. Unsubstantiated reports had p-diddy-Chaplow driving a blacked out 4x4 wearing a fur coat last night. All good fun and they hope it encourages more girls to get involved.

That's an awesome promo for the Phoenix and the game as a whole, nice work.
The more people feel like they are missing out on something special like the Nix games, the more will come. The amount of people I have talked to already that regretted missing Sundays game and will turn up on the 7th if they can is heartwarming.
Ricki's Chickies just make the whole damn package look better and better

oh....nice work Paul

I'm not going to get into a 1 vs 3 thing because I do think Gourdie is top notch (I even appeared on his pre Bahrain piece as one of the punters at the street skills thing lol)
For a real indication on each network's approach to football, you might like to ask him about TVNZ's 6-4 win over TV3 on the North Harbour outer recently ;)

Well I bet they got that Sarah Williams/RedinNZ to use her knowledgable breasts to knock-a few goals in.

Ok, how about a yellow Tee Shirt with a baby chicken design in black and Rickies Chickies below it then? That does sound much better.......

Rickies Chickies

But blacken the chicks for screen printing purposes

While I generally encourage lovely ladies to take their tops off whenever possible , I feel confused over this one.

The 'tradition' as I know it is to take tops off at the 80 minute mark if the Phoenix are winning and swing sh*ts around wildly above heads, but on Sunday this was not the case.

Is this tradition now evolving?

Well that was a bit of fun. Glad it came across as positive promo for YF and Phoenix. Very proud of the girls! I think the Phoenix shop should organise to sell yellow and black stripped bras - they could be a big seller and really kick things off!

FYI - 'Close Up' mentioned that they wanted to follow the fans and pick up on more football related stories as the Phoenix progress.

I noticed most people started taking their shirts off after the penalty saves. I didn't see anyone with shirts off before then.

But yeah, it would dilute it a bit, if people took their shirts off at any random time.

Good coverage of "Ricki's Chickies" but they should have talked to the UCOL girlies, much younger and much hotter. I wonder where they are sitting/standing for the next game

We we were effectively ahead after Durante scored following the first save, so then would have been the corrct time

From the YF FAQs:

[quote]8. The Fever Zone tradition is that shirts are removed with ten minutes to go, if the Phoenix are leading.  They will also be removed if the Phoenix go in front during the last ten minutes.  We will not discuss what happens if the score is reversed as that may curse it.  People of delicate disposition may need to take this in to consideration.
