In RADelaide tonight.

Coach Coolin (the gang) hasn't arrived from Europe yet so 2nd chair Phil Stubbins is in charge.

Ferrante trialling for Adelaide.

I assume there will be no tele coverage. What's the best way to follow the game (apart from going - I don't fancy my chances of making kick-off)?

Can you text me HT/FT updates? Won't have interwebs tonight.

Depends if RADelKORB hooks me up.

Christian already calling it 5-3 to us.  The Shin to score at both ends.

Working tonight so can't follow on here - what time's kickoff?

Obviously they don't use the internet very often in Adelaide so don't expect any twitter updates like every other club does.

Every other club? Last time I checked only Sydney, Blue Tards and the Phoenix had their own accounts. There's a bunch of supporters accounts out there too but only those three have active, club-sanctioned accounts

http://www.twitter.com/adelaidereds is a supporters account for the Cakes that was fairly active last season, they may do updates tonight, will send them a DM and ask.

(official? not sure)

But yeah, with *most* other clubs you can find at least fan ones that do the same thing (much like you do)

Completely forgot about GCU (it's like a week old) and the Heart one, good spotting. Brisbane Roar is official, I've just checked their site and they link to it, the started last year but haven't really used it until recently so I figured it was unofficial.  That makes 6/10 so I'll say my bad

NQFuryFC is unofficial but bloody good, run by Matt McGrath (the Furries blogger for FFT). CCM is unofficial too. Newcastle has absolutely no Twitter presence last time I checked, probably been distracted by a recent discount on pasta sauce...

"Adelaide will be missing injured players Travis Dodd, Robert Cornthwaite, Fabian Barbiero, Lloyd Owusu, Joe Costa and Eugene Galekovic for the clash under the guidance of No. 2 coach Phil Stubbins."

So who DO they have playing? With those players all out we really should give them a bit of an ass kicking.

Are there TAB odds on Ferrante getting a shot on target?

Actually, after the shooting he showed for us, it'd be perfectly fitting if he lashed one in from 25 yards against us.

Wrong vid Valeo.  Think you want the one where we played over there and won 1-0.

Either way, he's already had his fair share of horrible misses in such a short a-league career

It will be interesting to see if the likes of Viera and Pavlova are seriously being considered as potential signings or are just 'might-as-well' trials.

I hope we have a few better credentialed players we are talking to. (though to be honest if we just got Jade North and a couple of semi decent attacking players to come off the bench I wouldn't be that upset - our squad is very strong as is, just need a bit more cover)valeo2010-07-16 20:27:13

Is Owusu really still at Adelaide? Would be so great if he is. So many belly laughs last season.

I also thought Owusu had left. He had a trial in China after last season finished.

Nope, Owusu is still there. Apparently injured, though.

That is a god lineup - if Diego can sort his sh*t out or we can get one more player in there that's a really good XI and still far from full strengthjames dean2010-07-16 21:08:50

Lochy and Leo probably still resting and apparently Ifill got a bit injured last week...most likely the reason. Best not to risk him

I don't hold out much hope of that I'm afraid. He's always been inconsistent and sometimes downright listless. But, hey, maybe he's turned a new leaf.

He was decent against Newcastle when we beat them 1-0 away in 40 degrees but apart from that he's been sh*te.

Yeah, really good that day. So I can't understand how he could play so well and give his absolute all in the toughest of conditions and be mostly crap the rest of the time. It's a mystery.

hell, if it's come jepoardising transfer decision-making based on saving a bit of money on an air-fair we might need a sharper acting-ceo

if we've made a decision on the Cro-Mangon Man already that's fine, but if he's worth another look he's worth buying a trans-tas ticket for
