Call it live

To borrow a well worn phrase 'I don't know what I'm doing' I downloaded this app as I thought it could be fun and interesting but have zero clue how to use it and the instructions are not clear to me.

Anyone got a good explanation of how to use it? If not, I'll just delete it.

Have downloaded it twice know and ended up deleting it but then I'm stupid when it comes to these things.

Basically, you choose players that you think will be involved in the next shot or next defensive play (such as a save or a tackle). Then choose how you think the shot will come about and hit save.

Kind of similar to a daily fantasy game, but focused on the Nix. Pretty cool.

Why be looking at your phone while the game is happening live in front of you?

But is it really live if you are not watching it on your phone?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Yeah, still have no idea how to use it. Just have to keep persisting, I guess..

You can, but you don't have to. I just set it before the game and forget about it.

You can forget about our current form in games too. The only thing that interested me tonight was the humour in the Zone and seeing Brockie there too.

Haven't got my points for Powell's goal. What's up with that?

Was actually thinking the app was a bit buggy tonight. My selections didn't show after I made them, my name wasn't in the leader board.

I've taken some screenshots and was going to email them through.

Didn't work for me either - and considering I don't really understand what the point of it is the fact that it doesn't work makes me less inclined to use.

they really should have just launched it next year.

Same here.

Trying to understand it while the app is telling me I need one more player to put in a submission, while allowing me to remove players and add them but cant add any more, but then it tells me I need one more again.

gave up pretty quickly as it was going to frustrate me more and I dont want that when it comes to watching the glorious nix smash a team.

Click on the three lines that show the leaderboard, then click on game results. That is how I saw what I got during the game but appears to be wiped now.

If you want to see where you get the points you can click on the goal and it will show the scoring plays

I don't want to poo-poo it... but I honestly can't see the appeal of the whole idea.

I don't want ANOTHER thing to distract me from watching the g a m e.

If it appeals to others, that's great, but I don't get the appeal myself.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

it's alright if you're watching on your couch at home.

Otherwise I tend to just set it up before the game and hope for the best (maybe change players on a sub or something if I happen to remember). That's often enough to get me a top ten finish - though I imagine as more people play it won't be, in which case I probably wouldn't bother anymore.

If it ran smoothly then I wouldn't have any problem using it during the game. Unfortunately, its slow, often unresponsive and there seem to be regular glitches. That said I have my first placing so I'm not complaining too much.

I heard a rumour that it was designed by Microsoft which would explain a lot. No instruction manual, buggy as hell, frustrating to use.

Nothing directly from the club but Call It Live emailed me apologising for the delay in informing me of winning and to expect something from the Nix in the coming weeks.

Nice, I got told I won tickets few weeks back and had to contact them again to get the tickets issued for the game which I gave to the father in law.

When I won tickets they just told me to pickup from the vip ticket collection office so presumably they figured it out after you got them

Did you get your tickets though?

Those times when you tweet during a game, you are doing that by choice ... :-)

You could always turn off twitter notifications before the game starts ...

Some players can play offline from what I remember so they may sync their progress at the end of the game.

anyones call it live not work at all yesterday ? mine wasn't loading the player page so i couldn't pick any players

I did a pick but I don't think anything happened with it, I didn't get any sort of notification when the game was completed, and I have a rank of -- and a points of -- It also doesn't conform to the android design guidelines so the back button doesn't work but you have to push the "BACK" bit of text which is hidden in the top left hand corner.

I think I'm going to stop bothering with it, it doesn't take much effort but it is frustrating when nothing happens. I don't need free tickets.
