Tickets aren't that expensive are they? Support the club.

Caution rant below

If all season ticket holders not going to the chch game gave away their ticket, do you know how much money were short changing Terry?  There are about 3,500 season ticket holders, say using the average price of $20 per pass takes $70,000 away.  That is an estimate obviously but think about it.

FFS people, buy tickets, dont expect freebees from those whove paid good money for their passes.  I know Chch is having a rough time but are you happy to take that money from him?

Spend some money on the club you love.

Caution opinion below

Speaking for myself, I would have paid for tickets if I hadn't found a kind season ticket holder who offered them up for me (much thanks). Yes the tickets aren't *that* expensive - especially not compared to the tank and a half of petrol, and the 1-2 nights accommodation I'm up for.

Everyone has their own reasons for asking if someone has spare tickets they might be willing to give up. For me, it's a semi-financial reason, but I would have bought them if I had to. I've flown to Welly for a couple of games and as an out-of-towner the cost of tickets is always negligible compared to the rest of the trip. However it does help if they are available from someone cheaper - and if someone is happy to share the love, why not?

I see where you are coming from George but it's not entirely "short-changing" the club when season ticket holders are paying for seats they aren't going to occupy.

Edit: That said, I didn't notice that one-post wonders were coming on here to beg for tickets. Maybe it's a double standard but I look upon that a little differently from someone that's contributed to the YF community.ahmad2010-10-11 09:59:07

Don't forget though, a lot of the argument surrounding the Phoenix coming to Chch last year was about the financial viability/gain from the event. Let's not turn it from a good crowd and good profit to a good crowd and bugger all/no profit. We want these guys to come back every year if we can.

Think twice before giving your tickets away.  Terry needs the money. He's not running a charity here.

Also consider Weah, if you purchase a Canterbury Dragons season ticket you get a free ticket to the Phoenix game on Dec 5.

Exactly. I thought the whole justification for letting Christchurch borrow the Phoenix was income for the Phoenix?

As well as stealing our club, Christchurch wants to steal our tickets too

Oh well. If this happens on a big enough scale, it will be a financial let down and Wellington will get all our games again!

Why you say that?

No allocated seats, just general admission. Last year I got a YF Zone ticket and ended up in a different stand altogether with a bunch of kids and rugby heads out to try something different.

I'm giving my ticket to family member, encourage to take the kids along, just as they did last year.

THINK OF ZEE CHILDREN!

One ticket that will encourage a number of other tickets to be purchased is win, IMO.Ard Righ2010-11-13 14:56:07
