Craig and I are gonna do a road trip. Ferry across to Picton Saturday morning, lunch at the Kaikoura seafood bbq http://www.notquitenigella.com/2009/04/04/kaikoura-seafood-bbq-new-zealand/ and then on to Christchurch. Driving back Monday. Let me know if anyone is keen to share the trip...

Normally I dread dealing with Ticketek (and/or Ticketmaster). They seem to add no value, have websites which are hard to use, queues which are exceedingly long and slow... it's almost always just a crap customer experience.
Except today. Well done Ticketek.
It was the best experience I have EVER had dealing with ticketek!
I rung the hotline, it rang just three times before being answered!
I explained what I wanted to do... she asked for the account number... I explained I had 3, she said just give her one - they will be linked. Gave her my account number and she said "So that's for [insert our three names here]?"
I said "Yes, that's right."
She said "And do you want them posted to [insert my address here]?"
I said "Yes please."
and she said "No problem, we'll send them out today."

You can get a free commemorative phoenix t shirt from the press if you take a cut out and buy a ticket to the game which sucks for people who already purchased their tickets early

Last year we were seated in the Upper Dean Stand and had a great elavated view. So weve gone there again. I reckon 11000-12000.

The advertising has been 100x times better than last year from what I've seen, posters up all around town, in the paper. The Sony store in Riccarton Mall has a life sized Paul Ifill which nearly made me jizz.

Anyone know how strict they are on seating? 5 or so of my mates got tickets completely separate but want to sit together, I'm hoping it'll be sweet but what a disaster if it wasn't. I doubt it'll be as big a crowd as last time but that could mean they'll close part of the stadium.

That is the one annoying thing with people standing where they want to in the YF zone. Last time I was there with about five mates (all had tickets together) who were there for the first time, who obviously wanted to be standing together. But the trio in our seats didn't want a bar of it.
