I was wondering that too. My Nana's surname is Hunt, I really hope it's not her taking over.

Does she have charisma?  Does she demand 100% commitment? She might be what we need.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

When I drove past training this morning, Rudan wasn't seen, Greenie and Gothard were taking the sesh.

According to Piney's interview with Dome he was on a prearranged trip to his family. (on Monday at least, so probably flying back today)

Des Buckingham on 3news tonight. Some broadish hints post U20 world cup could be interested.

Yes a good item about Des on TV3, for once, not slanted in any particular way, but made him sound a useful candidate, which is exactly right.

You don't think they would have learnt anything after two years in professional environments including back in the UK in the case of Des?

Not really. He went over and helped out at a couple of clubs...just as a go coach. If you are looking at being the main man you should get experienced in that ie being the manager...better of doing the handy or aussie leagues. Let be honest going to the UK is not the be all and end all. Experience as the top dog is what he needed when he missed out last time

Greenacre was a Head coach in the handyprem though and Des is head coach for the under 20s and taking them to a world cup.

Who is this Coach Hunt?

It's either Warwick or his brother Urick

As long as it's not Jeremy we've got a shot

This might sound crazy, but why not appoint a coach with a proven record of success in a competitive league?

If 'Greenie' wants to coach A league, let him prove himself at a lower level, e.g. take a poor Handa team and win the league or go close.

Getting the pro license isn't enough. I don't understand why people are suggesting him, particularly given his results and team selections when he did coach the Nix.

Of the names thrown around, only Elliot and Kurz can claim success in a competitive league.

Kurz was sacked many times in Germany, and seems to have a bit of a temper. Getting Adelaide to 5th is slightly better than expected. Could be OK.

Elliott has had more-than-expected success (nearly 2 points per game) at Sacramento, though it was already one of the top sides in the league when he took over.

The best place to look though is in a lower league.

Managerial success in a lower league readily transfers to the league above, as Rudan and many others have shown.

A successful manager in a high league is going to be in demand and not available, while a lower league manager may be keen to try the next level up.

Whichever way, the Nix's coach hunt should be more than just looking out the window.

No idea what licences he has, but Cameron Knowles has been praised for his work with Timbers II in USL.

Currently top of the Western Conference.

Deserves to be touted as an option, as much as Elliott.

Who knows he may be in line for coaching the first team, given their awful start to the MLS season.

Could do worse than ask Tuiloma for an opinion. He’s spent a lot of time playing under Knowles for T2.

Might know a decent coach when he sees one. Had Bielsa had Marseille, and then of course the Bielsa disciple at a National level!

But, we have seen assistants step up in and be successful. If the team likes what Rudan is doing then Greeny is the logical decision.

Niether Cameron Knowles or Danny Hay hold the correct Pro License to coach in the A-League

IIRC Jose was supposed to be doing his pro license this year as well. If Chris was in Australia doing it last week as Rollo suggested anyone know if Jose was there as well?

I came hoping for speculation and found some 10-year-olds drawing on a bathroom wall. I see the Ramon supporters are subdued. Would not mind seeing Marco Kurz as our coach, he has had the better of Rudan this season.
