Not really a massive surprise. Everybody's been on about it happening for a few weeks now.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Apparently he's off to the Bling as well, that's why he's been getting it from his own fans over the past couple of weeks

I find it hard to believe there could be dodgy deals going on. But then it is Sydney...

Sydney get around the cap by getting organisations/businesses in the community to chip in a few bucks (or so I've been told).

For example, a squad member might be paid $50,000 by Sydney FC directly, but a local community group might pay them an extra $20,000 directly if they coach for them during the off-season

The extra $20,000 isn't taken into account for the salary cap, but as far as the player is concerned, he is essentially earning $70,000

Hmmm, So Miramar should pay Ryan Nelson 50k a week for coaching, then the Phoenix pay him 5k a week for playing, and we're all sorted!

They were pissed a few rounds ago, I watched bits of that game (perth newcastle or something) and they were booing Colosimo every time he got the ball because they already knew he was leaving for Sydney.

$50K a day, maybe!

If that's the case, ie you can get around the sal cap by getting a player sponsored or pauid from outside the club, it seems to me that the FFA need to bring in simialr cap rules like the NRL have. Any payment the player gets that is related to him playing comes under the cap. Ridculous that sydney can rout the cap like that.

Queenslander 3x a year.

So if we all decided to chip in and make sure Frankie Mac stays in Leeds we could???

Don't be so naive and think that only Sydney are doing it...
