What was the cheapest, did any not sell ?

Reserve was $25 so you can be sure that they all sold.  Cheapest was just under $200 I think, but with the auto-extends etc they probably all got up to $250.

I bidded up to $290ish on both Greenacre and Durante.  I stopped at $200 for Muscat and Lia, and about $250 at McKain.

Originally tried to get Colosimo and van Dijk but both got way too high.  Oh well, I suppose at least my bids meant more money went to charity (for those who bought any of those shirts, I didn't bid  with the purpose of raising it for charity, I genuinely wanted each one I bidded on).

Bit disappointed I got nothing, but oh well, as is life.

Incidentally what was the charity?

I picked up my three favorite players.
Hearfield, Muscat and Dura.
Sorry loyal gunner. I saw you bidding. You can visit the Muscat shirt at some point in the future.

Going to cost me a sh*t load though.
Its all about the charity though..Stefan2010-01-29 06:32:17

Im adding them to my every growing A-league collection.

I must say though. Watching at the kings on the small booth screens. The shirts looked pretty much the same as our away shirts.

A little, but your eyesight isn't the most precise.
Our sexy away shirt is streets ahead of the abominable Come Play shirts.

Mine have been stopped by Customs. They want me to pay a duty because the value was over $400AUS.
FFS. that was not a part of the deal.

And I realized last night..

"Come play" was not a very good choice of slogan.

Life flight has already got 1500 out of me.
I think you have to pay the duty if the items are new.

How did you end up giving Life Flight 1500?

Permalink Permalink

By buying 3 shirts.

f**king hell. Just found out that customs can either choose to release the shirts to me for free or charge me a $200+ Duty fee.

For what?! Holding my shirts for 4 days?
I think bluemagic has something to do with this.Stefan2010-02-23 15:48:53

Sorry eg. Just got the phone call after I posted that.
They have released them.

Stefan 1 - NZ Customs 0.

I will probably sell them off later on though.

As you were - hate the shirts to be honest, but was willing to help out if Customs were proving to be too arseholey.
Permalink Permalink

They said that I was importing them. That I won them off an charity auction and that there was no way I would be able to sell the for profit.

I think my downfall was telling them that they were Wellington Phoenix shirts.
Its a conspiracy.
