So Reno Piscopo has been listed in this seasons off contract players (with triggers for extensions note). We might have to start playing him more often now, he is gonna be away for a few weeks in January so that won't help any appearance trigger clauses.

Thought he signed for 3 years when we got him.

Yes but no it seems, looks like its a 1+2 year deal. I'm guessing they did it this way so they didn't have to pay out players if the club folded.

All 21 Nix players are listed as being off contract, so this gotta be A-League License related. Must have put in a clause just in case this was gonna be our last season.

God, imagine a complete squad overhaul for a third season in a row... I don't think my poor heart could take it.

Hopefully you're bang on about the clauses, because it would seem rather counter-intuitive to sign a bunch of youngsters only to have them snapped up, or have them leave for nothing.

Originally thought Davila & Ball (possibly) were signed on 2 year deals? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

We have 8 players 'on contract' for next season, guessing they all have automatic triggers for extensions in their deals.

Liberato CACACE [u21]

I thought we had found out Libby had a contract until the end of the 2021 season?

He triggered an extension last season, as revealed on Phoenix City a few weeks ago.

What's the point of this list? Originally I thought it was so that clubs knew players coming off contract and could try secure their services asap, but agents will do that anyway. Is it just for the fans? Does this indicate that the future of the club in the HAL, still, yet to be rubber stamped?

I'm guessing its something the PFA puts out, they always get a 'look over half the league is out of contract and this is bad for development' article out of it.It probably does help the clubs tho, gives them a full list in one place than having to deal with all the agents.

Assuming he stays the full 3 years, Rufer will be the next in the 10 year club.

So weird heading into a new year and being positive about what the year ahead will bring us as NIX fans.

My memory may be faulty, but wasn't the same feeling of general positivity about the club the same heading into last year? The rumours about Rudan's departure hadn't started, we were on a 7 game unbeaten run, independent A-League had been confirmed basically securing our future, Krishna was on fire and there was no thoughts about him possibly leaving... then we all know how the season ended.

Payne did a great job coming in for Fenton. I love these new year re-signings. They all give us a good base of players for the next 2 years. We sprinkle in some good imports or raw young talents and we should be fine.

It's interesting to see how fast the club under Uffi turned into a less drama and big speeches into a solid working unit on and off the field.

I think we need a "J. Sotirio - Designated Scapegoat until 2021" thread

I wonder if Sotirio might be best as a wingback. He's got the work rate, fitness and speed to get up and down the pitch all day. Utilise his strengths and avoid his weaknesses. I reckon he could be coached to have decent positioning, passing and limit the risk taking.

Not a fan at all of the stuff articles making sure everyone knows he's suspended from the Aussie U23s in the titles of all their posts about Wilson. How irrelevant, not a welcome feeling for him I'm sure

Look, he did what he did. It was a controversy regardless how you view the crime. He was deadset to go to the Olympics and was stood down for it. Thats a story and its part of his career

This is not a bad shout to be honest.

You wouldnt want him making that horrible 1st touch he can be guilty of in defence though, that could end in disaster.

His English parents lived there temporarily before returning with their young lad home to UK

90210 was obviously a popular show on Botswana prime time TV.

Out of curiosity was at Burnley (youth sides) 2013-2016. Cameron Howieson was there 2011-2015.
