Yep, no doubt - remembering where he came from and how he started, he came on in leaps and bounds. Honestly, I thought he would leave a couple of seasons ago when his 2nd kid came along and it's completely understandable that he would leave now,

Him and Siggy leaving leaves a gigantic hole in our leadership group.

It was funny sitting next to Manny and Dura's dads(and mums?) last Friday. The attention to detail on what they should have/could have done while in position of the ball was way above 14 grade football dads.(That we are normally subjected to).

I would say they got the lecture after the game. Proud Dads.

A legend, and what a pro. 

So many great memories, including a few cracking goals.

I'll always remember that one against Perth in the playoff. What a game that was. Very disappointed he's leaving but it's a move that makes sense for him and his family, so best of luck to him.

Will be weird seeing him in a shirt that's not yellow and black though.

I hope when we play against him, he keeps his elbows under control.

3 weeks ago, some people thought him and Lia should not have been resigned and more than a few have lambasted him this year for his hot head play (when not at CB)

He is a whole hearted footballer. I think to a certain degree, if we are to get away from that perception that we are team of meat axes, Manny probably had to go (and losing Sigmund will also help with that) and when you are living away from family for so long, you earn the right to leave on your own terms.

Definitely a Phoenix legend that wore the shirt well.

Definitely a club legend, but it does seem like a good time for him to go. Obviously for him and his family, but maybe also for us. I was in favour of keeping him for his experience and versatility but we do have a group of young fullbacks in the squad already, as well as plenty of central midfielders. And to be honest, his technical skills are probably not good enough to play DM in our team now. He did a surprisingly good job as a makeshift CB this year, but we already knew we had to sign a new CB to replace Siggy anyway.

It will be strange to see him in City colours though. Maybe we can sing "You've got the best Muscat in the league" to them when they visit next season.

While I agree to a certain  degree JV don't agree withe the term you used meat axes or  something similar. With Ziggy going I hope like hell Ernie replaces them with some one who can play that hard are roll.  People may not like that type of player but for me every decent team needs someone who won't take any shark.

We still have Vinnie Lia for that.

Can't wait until Manny elbows Dura in his first game against us.

Love Manny Muscat playing style. Looks a bit clumsy at times, but how often did he stopped, a fancy dribbling striker, with a single well time move. Great to watch, very effectiv. Will be hard for us next season to go past him. #legend

Yep, more good games than bad, is fast, skillful and a real handful. We might have kept him semi quiet but when he runs off the ball he creates all sorts of space for others. And he is nrot afraid to shoot from anywhere instead of trying to score from 3 yards in front like we do.

Sorry, was being a bit facetious. He of course would be a good signing, but we have 0 chance of doing it.

Yeah I was joking. No insult to Manny but swapping him for Mooy wouldn't be a fair deal!
