Can't really say he blocked Rogerson when they play different position and Rogerson has played more minutes for both the first and reserve side.

When we signed Litfin, McGarry had been ruled out for the season. I wonder if we grabbed Litfin as cover for his expected absence tbh.

If anything, this is the time to extend Tratt's contract like we did for Parkhouse.

Tratt is only signed for a year.

For me, I've always wanted Roly to stay. But by all accounts he was unhappy under Ernie (according to this thread) and I see No point in keeping a sulking star. Surely A-Rod has the ability to be as important as Riera was?

Let me help you out. Fans are happy with players when they play well. Fans are unhappy with players when they are sulky and playing like shark. Easy to understand.

Id re-sign all highlighted, But with the plan of moving Lia on the bench and being our plan B in midfield.
Also re-sign Mambo and Lowry(unless there is someone better coming through from the weenix??) No sure about Sail, havent seen him in action. With Watson, im not sure he's taken his opportunities. Some good games and some poor. probably deserves 1 year to go around. Might depend on how much he learns off Smeltz about movement.

At times I find Doyle a bit frustrating, not very quick and runs very close to the wind with referees with shirt tugging

I'm still baffled as to why we re-signed Parkhouse, to be honest.; but I guess he'll become the new Fenton. Shoved into a variety of random positions, never really making one his own.

I really want Roly to stay, and have all season despite some poor performances. He's the x-factor in our team. He's a step above the rest skill-wise, though he doesn't always use it as effectively as he could. He also barely ever gets injured despite getting hacked every game.

Tratt has an option for another season. Those tend to be triggered by appearances, so he must be close to the specified amount of games if that is the case.

Going to be interesting with the keepers. Sail has just turned 20 so guessing we have to make a decision on whether we stick or twist with Italiano.

Edit: seems everyone else has picked up on this as well.

Doesn't look like the Nix want to keep Rufer "The news was not so good for Alex Rufer, who remains on the outer after being left out of Tuesday's friendly against Beijing BG"

That's strange. Rufer had been considered one of the best talents for a while, getting game time with Ridention and now he's not in the picture. Any more theories on that?

Double break of leg is a major to comeback from. They have not had 17 years of growth to strengthen them.

Rufer is a far better footballer than Ridenton. Ridenton is very slow and it would a mistake to keep Ridenton and let Rufer go.

Honestly it might be best for both their sakes to look to move on. Neither have broken into the first team & we are always going to recruit visa players to play in the middle of the park ahead of them. They are at the age they need regular game time & will be stuck playing SS Premiership if they stay.

Without knowing their passport situations (rufer has Aussie I think) what do you reckon a realistic option would be?

Lol. Nix signed more Aussie NPL players in last few years than rest of A league clubs combined.
