For me he's a potential Siggy type player. Except he's a decent amount shorter.  Sig is 187cm, Rossi 188, Dura 182 and Lowry 181.

Never in his wildest dream is Siggy 187cm. Max 6ft I reckon, so about 180.

Wasn't Fox signed on for another two years after having only played a few games in his first season?

Yep, but that was an actual contract extension, rather than a triggered extension.

Wow that escalated from someone saying maybe....  to everyone treating it as gospel.... got to love forums....

where did I say that Lowry definitely had a contract extension by trigger clause?

Also, I am not everyone. I am one person.

Where do I say that I was accusing you of doing this?

Pretty sure he's contracted for next season.

If that is the case we have missed the announcement as he has always been on that list as one of the players coming off this season.

Fair enough, if that's the case.  But someone should fix his wiki then.

As soon as Ernie was appointed at the Jets, the press reports started linking Moss. I assumed it was just lazy paper talk myself cuz they also included Lia in with Moss & that didn't really make much sense given their squad. They did need another keeper tho.

I definitely wouldn't rule out that being a parting shot from Mossy aimed squarely at Welnix.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Was talked about it at length previously.

Apparently he had some offers from SA, but many speculated that, as an Oz passport holder, a move across the ditch would be easier for him and his family.

Makes a lot of sense.

Good luck making the finals with playing for the Jest, Mossy.

Well whoever it was that wrote it obviously hasn't been paying attention to the Jest over recent seasons. I don't think I have ever heard of a wooden spoon winning club as "not accepting anything less than top results", and by the way they finished the season they seemed more than happy to head to the beach early. Anyone putting the Jest and finals talk in the same sentence is surely having a laugh.

they have plenty of space on their roster yet to fill before we can make any call either way

No wonder we were shiiite at both ends for corners then.

More recently, Tratt aside, that is. And Rossi, but not sure I have seen him get a really fizzing header away.

Their owner wants ACL football within 3 seasons. Will be interesting to see if he puts up the cash for some proper marquee players to help Ernie achieve that goal.

One if their players might bust an ACL within 3 seasons but otherwise I don't think he'll get his wish

He never received any actual offers from SA. There may have been negotiations, but he was never offered acontract.

The Jets have made 3 good signings already for next season - O'Donovan particularly and if Tratt goes joins they will be shaping up a lot stronger than this season.

All of it is mute anyway... the longer we wait to sign a coach, the more we have to play catch up.

It's for the off-season exactly the same as what he did last season for ECU in Perth. It's great he wants game time. He also broke NPL records when he was there.

I took it from the email that they meant 3 or 4 of the off contract players would be re-signed.

Could be that, Piney thinks Lia maybe going.

Lia is believed to have already left Wellington, with his car advertised for sale on Trade-Me, including a line which reads, "Selling as I'm moving O.S. (overseas)."

Vinnie seemed a given with Ernie fighting to get him a 1 year, he has his Testy and no announcement of a new contract before end of season.

A-Rod, Watson, Italiano re-signed is my guess. Which would leave 5 spots, including 1 import
