Hang on. We're above 08-09 averages and last year includes the last 3 or 4 games.
Hardly the end of the world for us.

Looking at the fixture list to try and work out required crowd sizes for myself I realized that the last home game of the season is played one week before I move up to Wellington next year.
Shocking, shocking timing. Playoffs start a week later, don't they? Or is there a weekend off before them?

Good to see our current tally for this season is almost on par with 09/08 season. I reckon we'll crack 100k by the end.
We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Hey Phoenix marketing department, we're doing your job for you. Take notes.
I was the first to suggest that nix players get into women's mags and daytime TV, (anyone remember Daniel cooking on TV1?) and I've never seen a penny...

Phoenix Recognise Half A Million Supporters
Tuesday, 1 February 2011
One lucky fan with a ticket for the Wellington Phoenixs final home game of the season, against North Queensland Fury on February 13, will enjoy the match in comfort and go home with a fabulous prize pack.
All Phoenix members, along with supporters buying a ticket to the game against Fury, will go in a draw to celebrate more than 500,000 fans having watched Phoenix home games over the past four seasons.
The prize pack will include: a season 2011-12 season membership; one night for two people in Wellingtons Century City Hotel on game night; an invitation to the after-match function; a ticket upgrade for two people to the Chairmans Lounge at Westpac Stadium; two pairs of Sony headphones and a signed match ball.
Phoenix chief executive Nathan Greenham said the club recognizes how important its supporters have been over the past four seasons and the prize draw was a way of acknowledging them.
The fans have become a major part of the Phoenix experience and we wanted to say thank you, Greenham said.
To have had over 500,000 people at our games is special and one lucky fan will be the recipient of what is a fantastic prize pack.
The draw will be made on Wednesday February 9 at 5pm.

Perhaps they don't use the sophisticated attendance tracking system in place for Team Wellington games.
