The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

dicks prime for harpooning.
Occupational hazard from "shirts off for the 'nix" = the horrible cold I've developed. Let's hope we start winning on some fine days!!

After
this win, more to come!!!!!!!!So interesting article by Liam here saying that the Nix are counting higher crowds than what Westpac does
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/a-league/882...
"The gap between the home attendances reported by the Wellington Phoenix and Westpac Stadium is widening, although the football club says the explanation is simple.
Across four seasons from 2011 to 2015, the Phoenix's reported average home attendances for each season at the Cake Tin were between 2.2 and 4.5 per cent higher than what the stadium reported.
But last season the gap was 13.8 per cent, with the Phoenix reporting an average Westpac Stadium attendance of 7748 and the stadium saying it was 6807. This season the gap was 7.2 per cent in the first three games, excluding the New Year's Day match against Adelaide United."
geez. I hope our numbers aren't inflated as that's just depressing.
They saying that some of the difference is people getting in via manually when the scanners fail, but how the hell do they count those numbers?
It has been pointed out a number of times in match day threads that the crowd didn't look as big as the number announced at the game, appears it is true depending on who is counting.
Reading at the bottom of the article it isn't just the Nix and mentions that it is big in Australia too for their A-League teams. Helps with Metrics, like all the stupid memberships you can get (Some AFL teams allow pet memberships and count that towards their total members)
The lions regularyly say they have a few thousand at the game when it appears there are more like a few hundred.
Let's use the main crowds thread. https://www.yellowfever.co.nz/categories/wellingto...
