A'right lads, well done on the win against sydney, cracking result!  I'm a victory fan in melbourne but got some good kiwi mates and would love to see you do well. Was wondering how big of a crowd you think you'll get for the adelaide game and how the teams being received in NZ? Are you getting decent media coverage, folk watching the games in pubs etc? Think you'll top the 15'000 you had for the victory game?

Friday night games would be best. You would get all the people coming straight from work.

haha it is when you are a student living on $30 a week and the bus down and a ticket costs  $40. But screw it!!! well worth it to get down and see the Nix play! Just extend the bank overdraft to cater for my love of football haha.

Hi Meka21,
I'm in Otaki and am going to the game, I usually drive to Paraparaumu Train station then by train to the Caketin, and reverse for the way home, what route does the bus take?  If you email me at zedned01@xtra.co.nz  we could discuss options, for future games.

I play for Massey Soccer and one of the lads organises us a party bus to come down on, its an awsum trip for us as the bus has a toilet on board and a juke box.

Do you get a full busload, what route do you take? Glad to hear supporters are getting organised.

I'm backing a beautiful Wellington night with 16,000 to 18,000.....the Fever is growing and results like Fri night will keep em coming!!!  Imagine once we've beaten Adelaide on Sat night and Perth the following Sunday - both at home - and we head to Australia for our roadtrip in 2nd or 3rd place.......The Ring of Fire will become a feared ground for the Ozzie teams to come to.

I reckon at the rate its going as long as the boys get some results and continue to play the attractive and attacking football we'll get close to 25,000 once those summer nights kick in!!!!

BRING IIIIIIT ONNNNNNN!!!!  Til I die....!!!!

not sure yet whether we will get a full bus load. and also unsure of the route we will take as i am from north and not sure of which way the bus driver will take us.

There's really only one main road between Palmy and Wellington. btw, I'm hoping for a 15,000+ crowd, but I think we'll get 12-13,000.

my guess is that you'll be buzzed out by the ring of fire atmosphere and the quality of football from the lads

I think 15,000-16,000.  I have managed to get a few people for work to come alongfor the first time this weekend.  I'm positive that they will have a great time.

Coxey, your attitude is magnificent

I am not quite as bullish as usual myself. bc the sydney game was away I'm not sure there is as much awareness as their could be.

We also will not get the kids on Saturday night at 7pm.

If we get a result against Adelaide, I will go 16-18 for the perth game - but can't quite see it on Saturday. Shame on me I know

Weather dependent - less than 10,000 if lousy. 15,000 if still and calm.

But Saturday night is the big question - That could make a huge difference

I know they are slightly smaller fry, but Team Wellington have tried all three alternatives (Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday arvo) - anecdotally I think Sunday afternoons brought in the biggest crowds.

Be great to see what Saturday night at the Ring of Fire off the back of a win brings though.

Well I've told everyone I know, wore my Phoenix shirt out all day Saturday and 4 strangers started random conversation with me - they all knew the result.  Wore my Yellow Fever Bencher 20 pint shirt on Sunday and talked football and Nix every chance I got....

And at work today....was singing every chant I know.....and even started to get others joining in.  Have 11 first time visitors to the Ring of Fire coming with on Sat night......

I think I might have a problem....well another one anyway!!!!

IT'S JUST GREAT TO SEE THE ENTHUSIASM, IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO ANY OF THE GAMES YET THE CROWD WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF. I'M SHOUTING MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW TICKETS  (I'M SOFT IN THE HEAD I KNOW), SO THAT'S 2 NEWBIES FOR STARTERS. i WONDER IF THE PHOENIX COULD RUN A RAFFLE FOR THE OFFICIAL CROWD SIZE, MAYBE IF YOU BOUGHT A PROGRAM THAT WOULD QUALIFY YOU FOR A 'FREE' ENTRY,COULD INCREASE THE REVENUE FROM PROGRAM SALES. I'M PICKING 16,000 MIN.

Woah, Zedned Caps Lock broken? Or you just like shouting?

I agree with Liverpoolfan1 - I think TW crowds were better on Sunday afternoons. I think it likely that the Saturday evening kick-off will lose some of the families.

For me personally, it's better to have a Saturday kick-off - the worst thing about the Sunday kick-offs is getting up for that Monday morning flight either having packed whilst drunk the night before or with the need to pack still outstanding.

After our first win, I reckon 15k and that would be in 3 games more than a certain other team scored in the whole season!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

I go to most TW games and the problem is getting out to Newtown on a Friday night when you come to work on a train. No such problem getting to the stadium so you can't compare.

Sunday work better for TW because you can drive there, Saturday doesn't work either because you have to drive out there which rules out drinking. Again - no issue with that at the stadium.

TW will struggle this year though. I know I won't get a season ticket this time round and will just pick my games.

I reckon 15,000 if the weather is good ,might be a more boozy affair given the KO time !

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

after work yesterday I think I am going to revise my estimate 15-18 thousand. Everyone seems buzzing more so than after the melbourne game.
