Crowds at all A league games over the festive season have been great. Lets make sure we finish off with a great crowd. Get your friends to come along and enjoy watching the Nix take on Sydney.  It would be great to get over 12,000 so lets go for it and give our lads a great send off.

Has anyone sorted out how the free kids entry will work for season pass holders?

This is whats on the Phoenix website....

FREE ENTRY FOR KIDS!

This is your final chance to see the Wellington Phoenix play at home in the Hyundai A-League regular season as they take on Sydney FC on Friday, January 4. To celebrate and thank all of our supporters for their support this season, children under the age of 16 (maximumk of three) accompanied by a parent or guardian will gain entry in for free. If you're on holiday in Wellington this New Year, treat your family to an unforgettable experience and catch the Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium.

I think parents would be best advised to keep their kids away from that sort of thing....that's how germs are spread...

I won't be in town, heading to Taupo then Tauranga.

Go the Phoenix, get into them.

seems that a few folks made their holiday plans before the fixture list came out

i'm sure that won't happen next season

on a more serious note, the free kids scheme must be a great way to talk any out of town mates and Wellingtonians that have youngsters into checking out Wellington's best 'cultural' experience!!!

That doesn't actually answer the question unfortunately.  Kids tickets are available free if you PURCHASE an adult ticket.  No one has actually explained what you do if you have a season pass and want to take your sprogs.  You know what they are like at the stadium, it will be no ticket no entry.

good point JD

it seems ticketek respond to a request from the club by announcing it and then waiting to see what happens on the day - rather than actively anticipating different situations and potential problems and communicating with the punters

you could risk frustration and ring them in the hope of getting a reliable answer

We've got 3 adults purchasing tickets if anyone wants to borrow them. That's entry for 9 kids!

I think there should still be a decent crowd. A lot of people are back to work tomorrow, and after the win last week I've managed to convince quite a few people to come and check it out. It'll be their last chance for a while!

I know of people coming back from holiday in time for this friday maybe a bunch of others are planning the same

Jose's Dog we we're going to bring our nieces and nephews along as far as i see it we have already purchased a ticket for the game well in advance and should be able to have the same privledges as those who buy tickets on the day, what will suck is we won't be able to get to stand in the feverzone as they won't be able to give tickets to my tag alongs for the seats next to us as they are already taken, which is fine,  but it's like buying an album the day it comes out then a few weeks later they resell it with a bonus dvd to get more sales you think whats the point of supporting that if the late comers get all the treats

Hopefully there are plenty more like me, who are glad it's holiday time and can get to Wellington for the game without worrying about getting back for work. Wellington here I come (again).

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Tony P : This confusion about free kids is not good. I am a gold season ticket holder. I often bring my daughter and two friends and pay for their tickets. On Friday what is the situation? My daughter and two friends are coming - do they get in free if I show my season ticket?

I hope that season ticket holders who have supported the club will not be disadvantaged.

cheers

tigers, hopefully they will be readily available at the BB straight after the game, but hey, otherwise prob late Sunday. I'm sure someone will beat me to it!
A prediction?
Moss 8 cleansheet
Rees 8 Excellent defending
Dodd 9 Scared off the Bling fairies
Old 8 No mistakes, passes to feet (mind you he'd probably get a ten for that)
Elrich 9 Outpaced his markers and got in behind the defence. Spoke politely to the ref
Johnno 8 kept the Bling midfield from linking with their strikers
Ferrante 9 Scored again
Felipe 9 a bag of tricks, not seen fopr weeks, fouled and earned two penalties, got goal side when defending
Locky 8 Helped Oldy out when necessary, little chance to do much else
Covs 9 scored, elbowed defender when ref not looking
Smeltzy 9 scored again
Not prepared to predict the final score, but looks like a good result.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

sounds like perfectly normal behaviour to me

then again, given my wife's frequent use of the phrase "not yellow fever again, you're addicted to it" that particular reassurance might not be all that comforting

Deliberatly planned my holiday so I'd be back in Wellington today - in time for the match against Bling with a day to spare!

Mind you, I also took a bus on xmas eve just so that I didn't miss TW vs Waitak...

I'm doing my bit bringing a crowd of 14.  As a parent the offer of an outing where the kids get in free is a great attraction (eg the Te Papa whale exhibition) so expect lots of ankle biters tomorrow.  The (almost) four year old chanting "Same old Aussies" is mine.    The two girls poking you in the eye with the Phoenix flag (and fighting the whole time) are his sisters.

I know of 6 wellingtonians who are coming 4 who've never been and 2 who've only been once

hopefully those types of attendees plus the travelling Phoenix fans will balance (or exceed) the folks that are out of town

shame vic didn't organize an early enrollment day or exam re-sits for tomorrow

I just went down to the chch ticketek office and got my tickets for the 4 of us
I asked the woman at the desk (miserable b1tch too i might add) for tickets in the yellow fever block, and also stated i couldnt remember if it was block 21 or 23, and she pointed it out on a printout of the stadium. all was well and good til i got back to work and got the tickets out.......and the silly cow has put us in block 2!!
I rang ticketek wellington up to ask if i should come to them tomorrow and get them changed (as i cant get back to the chch one today) and she said "dont worry about it, itll never sell out, you should be all right to sit pretty much where ever once you get in there..."
Once again - ticketek have proved they are just AWESOME
