I know he has had the raps in other topics but I think he deserves his own.
I am a complete fan of this guy.
This season is only four games old but we have seen the Nix play some football, the likes of wish brings tears of joy to crusty old observers like myself. OK we have struggled to get the ball into the back of the net, and its still early days. But how often in our short history have we gone to hell holes like away to Perth and bossed them for 45 minutes. And we did it playing the ball to feet, players moving into space and generally putting the shiites up good opposition.
Then home against the Jets....we made them look ordinary. ditto at times vs the star studded Victory.
A big part of this playing renaisance we can attribute to our Spaniard....dirty Sanchez. I concentrated on his play for most of the Victory game. The guy is the missing link we have been looking for. He is a very unflashy player but he seems to always be in the right position to take or recieve a pass. He inevitably always pick the right option. The guy has a football brain. He brings players into play and rarely turns over possession. The stunning goal was the chorizo on the paella.
It just goes to show that an attacking midfielder can do the business without having to dribble through half the opposition and blast a goal.

I agree with Zinidane. If Dani can keep playing the way he has been, we could keep up this positive football we have been playing. He can be to us what Ifill was in 09-10.

Already a bigger success than Toto! :p As I said when he first came here on trial, I'd seen him play in Scotland and have known he was going to be good for us. That said, I hope I haven't jinxed him. If he's still playing well and starting at the midpoint of the season then he should be offered a two year minimum contract extension. None of this wait until the offseason approach where he's receiving offers from abroad or other A-League clubs, or until he gets sick of waiting for an offer and leaves anyway.
Hopefully he can prove me, and others right and really maintain and improve his form. Any question marks that people had over his physical ability must surely be gone and hopefully now he is ready to become our key man. He's certainly made an encouraging start.

Great goals, which suggest he gets them and aren't a one off - a la Elrich.
