I thought he was fantastic yesterday, held up the ball well, made great runs & nailed his one chance. 

3 goals in his last 3 games, 6 in his last 8. Safe to say this is the best spell of form in his Senior football career.

 I've been thinking about everyone saying Uffie gets his imports on the money but is it more credit to how he coaches them and sets them up that allows them to thrive rather than just signing that player? If you look at a lot of the attackers we've signed and then left us they've all had better seasons when they're been with us. Davila, Hemed, Hooper, Sandoval, and even Steinmann are good examples of that.

He even turned Sotirio (who's not an import I know) into a decent footballer at A-League level.

I like Zawada so much more than I did Hemed. From the word go his workrate has been second to none. He never stops running, has a surprising turn of speed, decent ball control and is is very difficult to knock off the ball. 

He's now reached that point where he fully believes in his own ability to be a proper goal-very-two-games kind of striker, maybe even more. The A League is clearly perfect for him.

Apologies, I wasn't actually at the stadium on Sunday, had to go into work and watch the game when I got home, same for the women. Must've missed it on TV, but very good to see.

Comes across as a great bloke - Humble and down to earth, but has a huge passion for the game, as well as the personality to boot.

Another Uffie masterstroke of a visa signing. This type of player is absolutely the way forward for the league. Happy we've got him for this season and the next.

Zawada honestly could've had two hat tricks in a row against Perth and then City. He could currently be level with Hemed's season total of 11 in 20/21, still plenty of chances to get there though.

Can definitely see the influence.
His favorite players when he was growing up were Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Edin Džeko. Plus he was behind Mario Gomez in Germany.

NZF should be pushing the Nix to extend Oskar's contract for however long it takes!
August 29th 2027. That will be 5 years to the day since Zawada signed for the Nix. He’ll only be 31 by that point too.

Too late for the 2026 World Cup but if the Nix can keep him that long, honestly might be worth giving him the Fornaroli treatment.

Oskar just broke the record for most consecutive A-League games with goal involvements with 11 from 11. Including 10 goals and 1 assist if I'm not mistaken?

For me a lot of his goals have come from very little - he does a lot of the work out muscling players and we rarely give him tap ins. It's paramount we make the most of him next season because he is something special. We sure as hell aren't making the most of him this season. We are going to need a formation change and change in attacking personnel - I find it silly that our most creative player is currently Yan Sasse who really has been average at best up until the last few games.

Yeah there was this article from Rollo that shows his last 11 appearances with only the baby break. What I wonder is how much more could he have done if he got the service he should be getting "Zawada is only averaging 28.57 touches per game and 2.76 shots per game, which does not leave him with many opportunities to score."
