Sotirio really our main hope here, unless Ball or Davila get some mojo.

Though TAHW and Taylor looking a threat from set pieces.

Six shots in 5 minutes. Where has this been all season.

Deja vu, we are peppering their goal for zero result.

They are fouling the shark out of us.

We've been having high numbers of shuts for ages.  It's getting those shots in the net we struggle with.

Should've been a yellow for dingham.

no yellow for kicking that ball away- we'll undoubtedly get one later. And no card for the chop down. Typical.

How the hell is that not a card.

Davilia finally gets one on target and reddy stops it.

Someone told me once that corners we're kinda worth 1/2-a-goal....

Just like last week - dominating, conceding on the counter, showing almost zero sign of threatening to score a goal.

We are so woeful, can deff see Glory getting another few goals.

Scrappy frustrating game so far. Feels like we're missing Hooper's presence and experience.

Did Sky have no build up for this one?  I don't get it they had 30 min long ones during regular season and nothing at all for the playoff? Covid related?

Yep,Naarelle has been doing insta lives on the sky page for the build up since Auckland level 3.

We're in dire straits if Jashua is our only hope

FFS.

2 great strikes by Davila.

Pesky goalie.

Argh Sotirio is a frustrating player. Also sick of other teams goal keeper pulling off motm every game. Need more from Ball...

Steinmann killed that attack stone dead.

At what minute do we push so high we concede the second on the counter. I'm picking 68th

I noticed all goalies having good games against us recently. But that's not because they're so good, it's because our attacking players are woeful. Taking shots when they shouldn't, off target, poor technique etc. Just making goalkeepers look good

How was that not a foul on Libby.

Permalink Permalink

How is that not a fill on that last Libby drive? Clipped ankles from behind.

Permalink Permalink

This reminds me of all those frustrating seasons of playing without a striker. There is so much good stuff happening on attack but no one apart from Davilla looks like they are going to put it in.

Rufer on for Sternmann plz to start with

We are playing really well. But we need a goal. Gutted that Perth had two chances (the first one being offside anyway) and out one away. We've had 5 or 6 and are yet to score. Hoops would have made a big difference in this game sadly.
Still we have 45 minutes to go and if we keep going like this we'll get something out of this game.
I do worry about how we are defending set pieces, other than that we've been very good.
COYN!

Yeh- I was having flashbacks watching Ball competing in the air with much larger defenders.

That was my first thought until I saw a slow motion replay. No foul,

One thing I'm confused about is why the subs went out on the pitch to warm up almost immediately while the others are having a team talk. Perth doesn't have anyone out there.

Its not just our defending of set pieces, but the Perth delivery is better than ours. they've got a dude who is almost 2m tall and they hit him most of the time. While we have TAWH and Taylor running into each other on our set pieces. frustrating.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Agreed on that. Uffie seems to have reined in his tendency to go one dribble too many but in this situation I would love to see him running at the defence more. Been one of the few positives since restart for me.
