Elrich escapes Phoenix
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Just read the following on the A league website ( http://www.a-league.com.au/default.aspx?s=hal_newsdisplay&id=21707 )

"Central Coast recruit Ahmad Elrich says he had to escape the Wellington Phoenix or risk seeing his international career slip by."

Now I will be the first to applaude and welcome back Filipe and Rees, and other Phoenix old boys who wore the Nix shirt with pride and played with passion, when they return to the RoF but, if the quote is accurate, Elrich has shown his true colours.

It is bollocks to suggest you have to be based in Australia to catch the Australian national team coach's eye - the Nix played 11 games there last season. The truth is Elrich could have played a 100 games there and it wouldn't have made any difference. He was not up to standard and has now proved to be a t**ser as well.

'Phoenix escapes Elrich' is more accurate.

"He's never seen a salad..." - we really do have to give it to him when he returns to the RoF.

Thought he could have left with some dignity but I really should have known better than to expect that from Ahmed.  Reminds me of our trip to Melbourne and when we went out to watch the team training in the 41deg heat, out of 6 or 7 simple training patterns Ahmed messed up 4 of them and then feigned an injury after getting a few sharp words from Ricki.....sat down with an ice pack after that but it was so obvious he wasn't injured!!!

I thought "spineless twat" and "sulking posing prima donna" at the time and my dislike for him has grown stronger ever since.....and thats without me even mentioning how sh*te he was during the season.

Bakeries on the Central Coast are said to be deliriously happy with the news that fatboy is set to boost their profits.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

who ate all the pies?
You fat bastard
YOU fat bastard
YOU ate all the pies!
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Glad to see the back of a below average player If the Mariners think he is going to be one of their star players next year it certainly augers well for the Phoenix.

Glad Ricki and co had the sense to see he's the exact sorta player no team aspiring to anything would want. Good riddance you fat useless sh*t!

I think he only came here because he took the term "cake tin" too literally anyway

This is good news for us, now when we play CCM we know he can't cross for sh*t so will be easy to close down.

Also, there was a rumour, he came to Wellington because he thought the "Cake Tin" was a giant bakery. That proved to be true!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Ahmad you sir are an arse! there is no way he could have made any international squad with this year's "performance" if that's what he calls it. I can't imagine theres many international teams checking his parentage for eligability.

What do you mean door?  He had to be fork lifted out of  the second floor on a pallet once the double window frame was taken out......

"I know that (coach) Lawrie McKinna can get me back up there and get me back to the level I need to be."

"With the team we have and the quality we have I don't think that should be a problem."

Isn't that the same quote he used 8-9 months ago when he came here? Same sh*t different team

And what do you think of this Midfielder?

Permalink Permalink

Is it just me or shouldn't the fat twat be making some attempt to get himself back to the level he needs to be. Instead of expecting coach after coach to do it for him.

Make tactics for our fullbacks easy next season: "Stand 10 yards off him, let him have the ball, then watch him cross the ball into you"

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The guys in Aisles 20 - 24 will be 'cos that's where most of his crosses will end up after cannoning off the nearest defender.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

He'd have to make it onto the left wing to do it - a bit far to go I reckon

Does he even get the ball that high?  A box and knee pads maybe more appropriate.

The zone could always relocate to 16-17 for half a game. Just blatantly wind Elrich up.

Might be just be the first game that he gets back in his own half
