Those guys up the back of Aisle 24 might not have big numbers but they make plenty of noise. It all adds to the atmosphere. Next up we gotta get the greek section joining in.

Ps: Aisle 24 guys, did Sanchez score with that honey bunny or was it just a game meeting only?

We were sitting in between the two groups of supporters and they are both great. The guys at the back can be heard really easily, so our little group can join in and make more noise. Unfortunatly the YF chants come from infront of us so most of the time, unless it's an easy chant, we have no idea what your saying so can't join in. Last night was great because as one group got a little quiet the other started to get noisy, so more noise for the whole 90.

On the bottle throwing, I'm getting confused, it's ok to throw the cardboard holders hard and at people, which I saw last night, it's ok for kids to hit the people infront of them with those stupid blow up clappers, which I saw at Galaxy game, but it's not ok to lob an empty bottle (I saw him finish it as lots of people on here did). Make up your mind YF you say 100% support, thats not how I read this thread.

Do love the chanting, can hardly talk today, fabulous game.

Throwing anything other than your voice should not be tolerated.

I think they threw him cos after his chanting he skulled the remainder of his beer then lobbed his empty into the air and it landed about three rows away.

If he threw a bottle, regardless of the intent, he deserves to be ejected - end of story.

We have made it pretty clear that there is zero tolerance on this so I have no sympathy.

If may have only been the first or second game for some of the people commenting here, so they may not understand the history behind the CCM game.

Ultimately, if he has thrown a bottle, then YF is 100% behind them being ejected.
No, been too every game, saw the drama at the ccm, feel  it was a total over reaction last night, simple.  it was a toss  no lob, no biff not even a chuck   the two aren't the same

Heavens forbid if a mexican wave ever happends in the stadium, people will get thrown out left right and centre.

Mexican waves at football

Actually there were a couple at the Galaxy match, but that was down to the daytrippers.

sings - "We are the 39"

yeah, bit of a laugh, felt like an away game (but a whole lot easier to get to - sings "we've come 100 metres for a goal"),

good to see Smeltzy's goal and the Harnwell sending off up close, and that scabby little dog Foxe getting booked

you lot looked and sounded good, but i can recommend a bit of a migration - smaller group = more variety of chants (even if we were the only ones who could hear them )

Some guy was going to streak, he was a row down from me. He didnt make it on to the field cause the game ended, but after the match on the concourse I saw him standing there naked.

That's all we f**king need, streakers at football matches.
Far as I'm concerned anybody that streaks at a football match should be severely beaten, fined a horrendous amount of cash and banned from ever attending another game.

It's not rugby, FFS. Leave that sort of sh*te for the Sevens.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Hopefully they didn't throw anyone out for throwing things when that happened

To all those complaining - Best atmosphere so far in the Yellow Fever. Loudest we have been, new chants being started (joined in) and the most fun had yet at a Phoenix game.

The Scouser was just starting to raise the level in the  Fever before unjustfully, the security lead him away.

All this fuss over creating the best football atmosphere ever at game in NZ, here comes the fun police...... To all those others, TOP EFFORT !!!

I'm confused.

So its ok to throw a bottle up in the air when we score a goal? But a guy gets thrown out when he lobs one in the air at random?

Hello all. I was the scouser.and was thrown out for chucking the bottle,no other reason. The stewards were quite right for stepping in,thought a warning might've sufficed though-they wouldn't let me back in for my kid which was a little annoying!

Any way, whoever the bottle hit-really sorry. Got to keep that atmosphere going-so if they give me my tickets back- let's have more of it!!

No form of bottle throwing is okay. Either drop it or bin it. We're not a rugby crowd.

/still remembers the sea of bottles almost cancelling the All Blacks - Canada match this year...

Scouser - hope to see you back there vs Roar. You certainly lifted the YFZ when you turned up and i for one was loving it. But so i can enjoy your singing next week, please no chukka the bottle eh!

And let's no start the infighting already! Whether it's kiwipie giving you some 'advice', or anyone in Aisle 23 up the back - even good natured bantering can be taken the wrong way. How about we all REINFORCE each others singing - rather than take  offence!!

One other thing - i didn't realise the 80 minute take off your shirt thing. But those in the YFZ  can't expect EVERYONE to know all about their traditions - hence if those up the back want to take their shirts off they should be allowed to and not be expected to be abused (however lightheartedly) by YF.

Still - what a great game! Come on the Phoenix!!

This is dulling me to sleep.

Hopefully we've finished our weekly introspection and can dive in to discussing the Phoenix and the match itself.  Plenty of threads for it.
