This weekends match against Perth is going to be soo vital now!

The reasons are clear - we dont take enough chances and we give
silly goals away. In between we are sweet!

No problem fellas, we're just poised for our late push for the
play-offs. The run home starts on Friday
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Oh sh*t I wasn't expecting Perth to win.

Hopefully the long flight, jet lag, and an unseasonal southerly
blast all conspire to return Perth to their pants form of earlier
in the season. Colostomy went off with a hamstring pull so
hopefully he won't play. If we could get the ref from
Saturday to award us dubious penalties that would help too.

Yep, we'll push on and make the minor semi at least. Next year we'll be minor premiers.

If we win this won't we be equal with Melbourne on points? and if
our goals for and against is better we will be 6th.

Assuming they lose, yes.

it was good of the Dom not to put the table in this morning's

So frustrating, even half the points we have thrown away would see
us set for the playoffs. Not to mention the games we
dominated and lost, like on Friday what was the corners 15-0 or
close to. We are making so many chances lets put them on
goal, even just doing that has gotta be good for a rebound tap in
per game.
The Perth game this Friday will be a good one (as long as a
fat f**k of a blind retard ref doesnt drop his nuts on
us).

They seemed to be more worried about the fact that they (the media) got snubbed by the Galaxy.

It was a little rant wasn't it? I chuckled as the writer of the piece seemed to think it detracted from the crowd's pleasure. How he imagined that a little contretemps between media types would mess up my day is beyond me?

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

at the risk of stating the obvious it was indicative of the power
of the press to decide just what is and isn't 'news'
clearly Fred Woodcock wouldn't cross the road to .... .. the "Fat Controller" if he was on fire.

There are good and bad things about the weekend results. Yes, bad
for us that Perth won, but good that Melbourne lost. There's only
one thing for it - start winning some f**king games and getting
points. They don't grow on trees. Start doing that and there are
possibilities. Fail to do that, and we are staying right where are
as of this weekend just gone. Six games to go, so plenty to play
for yet.

This Friday against Perth is our " Cup Final" We HAVE to win, simple as that.
SO bE THERE AND BE
LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What was that DOM article on Monday all about.....who gives a
toss whether the Galaxy cancelled the press conference. These press
conference's are naff! ....."David, how do you like Wellington?"
after he had been here about one hour.
"David, what colour are Posh's pyjamas"..........give me a
break.
Why didn't someone ask some decent football questions like "
David who do you consider some of the best players you played with
and against and why"

Perhaps we could bribe Qantas to fly the Perth team here via Denver (or Vladivostok perhaps) so they'll be so jetlagged they'll be able to do precious little and we can score all the goals we need to get out of our negative goal difference.loyalgunner2007-12-04 13:38:01

You guys just need more defensive midfielders.

Johnson and Brown are fine..

I haven't seen enough of the phoenix play unfortunately...I am a
fan of Browns after the Wales game...just listening to the podcast
talking about Felipe, Daniel and Smeltz being the key players...I
do think it would be nice to have a player that oppositions fear
stalking the midfield ahead of our back 3/4 winning ball,
protecting the defence, giving plenty of ball and space to the
front guys...
I've heard good things about Brown and Johnson, but none of
them features as best player on the polls...it would be great
to have cover there...or a marquee option there....maybe someone
who can also play in the defence????

Melbourne will do much better with Kevin Bloody Muscat back but we
can only hope Adelaide humiliate them in front of their few
remaining fans. Some guy in the sport section of The Age newspaper
gave Muscat a real serve yesterday: said he was a thug back in
the Geelong u-9s and is a thug still. No christmas card for him
from the Muscat household this year!
