Did he really dive that much or did the ref have it in for him. I thought the Yellow card was harsh, replays clearly showed the other player caught him.

A couple other times i thought he could have got a free kick aswell.

It was anti-South American bias that you get in the A-league refs. Feilpe has to proven that he could stay heavy on his feet in the Aussie game and not be as light-footed and roll over for self preservation as in the South America game. He has learnt that over the season but he has to prove this to them over time that he made efforts to continue playing.

Felipe does dive a lot. In fact, our entire team was on a diving spree that game for some reason. I kept yelling at em to get up - was getting pretty frustrated. Felipe goes around one or two players then gets a rush of blood + runs into a defender and lies on the ground for ages. It's annoying.

Dead right - he was tripping over his own feet. Not one of Felipe's better nights. I think I heard you yelling at him too! Someone else kept screaming 'cock!' every time Archie touched the ball. Not a fan obviously.

I thought he was diving quite a bit to be honest - and he deserved the yellow card for his facial hair alone.

Ref missed the best dive of the night though - Cesaras right infront of where we were...  Clicked his heels together like Dorothy and down he went.  Classic trick and it gets the refs everytime.

I thought both daniel and felipe have really improved on the diving front, Felipe was hard done by with that yellow.

I find it funny that people think Felipe was hard done by. He was warned earlier in the game. If your boss warns you for turning up late, what do you think will happen the next time you turn up late?

Personally I don't think it was so much the contact that was the issue but more the way he went down, running into players when he had played a heavy touch, over exaggerating the fall and forcing the referee to make a decision either way.

Yellow card sir.

My issue with this is the whole consistancy thing, jow many of the aussie players fall over at the slightest touch - Kruse, zullo etc! They don't get carded, the player that bumped them do!!!
