Good Man, I'd hate to travel all that way & have to stay in the pub!

Bought two tickets today at Sport Manawatu and was told they had sold out their initial allocation of Adult tickets. I ended up being given two tickets that were being held for someone else. Sucks to be them!

Anyway, they will be getting another batch of tickets. Either they didn't have many to start with or this game is selling really well.

Is there much advertising for the game in Palmy G4L?  Nix have not mentioned anything on their facebook or twitter page.

It was in the Manawatu Standard last week. Hopefully there is another mention this week. Youngheart Manawatu have a new facebook page and there's a lot on there about the game. It's also on Sport Manawatu's website but you have to click on Event Finder to read the info.

Schedule posted on FaceBook:

Return bus to Palmy leaving from @the pub. Departing at 9am. Game at 2pm. Then return by about 9pm.
Stop in each direction at Siggy's Manukau Hotel.
Cheap beers in the bars.
Dinner included.

So.. how can I get tickets? I think I've convinced the family that we need to go but ain't able to get there until very close to kick off.

I'm slightly disappointed!

Whichever way I go in it appears to say "Door Sales Only". I don't have a SportManawatu office near me. S'pose I'll have to trust my luck and take the kids to the pub if we don't get in.

I'm slightly disappointed!

Hey buddy,

If you email Steve Davey with the number of tickets you want, he may be able to hold some for you at the gate

what is the weather doing in palmy this morning, do i need to bring extra layers

Permalink Permalink

Very cloudy and overcast. Not too cold but not exactly tropical. Typical Palmerston North weather really just without the wind. Very still here. An extra layer would be a good idea or just wear your longsleeve Tim Brown shirt :)

Funniest football match I have attended in my life!

I only wish that I was on the Bus trip up from Wellington as the Hawkes Bay Fever bus was a flop!

I concur with Mr Diddy, a fantastic day in the sun at Palmy, the Manakau pub was excellent, cheap drinks, friendly staff & locals & heaps of drunk Feverites to catch up with.

So pleased I disembarked the bus at Kapiti, pretty sure today will be a write off for those that were in Electric Ave after returning to Welly!

Better late than never...

Young hearts, run free
Never be hung up, hung up like my man and me (oooh)
Hmmm, my man and me
Young hearts, to yourself be true
Don't be no fool when loving is all there is (oooh)
I said I don't love you

i think i need to start buying player issue rugby shirts all the football player shirts are too small to fit me, i took the tim brown shirt and managed to get 22 signatures on it after the game 18 of them i know who they belong to the other 4 i will have to try to decipher included in those are ricki and chris i will have to pick up the last few and academy players over the rest of season
