Particularly on a Sunday.

11.45 a.ma Sunday. No cricket, just half a dozen guys having a rugby kickabout. And if there is cricket, there's plenty of room for footie at the western end (nearest Harbour Bridge).

No offence jerzy, you may live in Auckland and all. But I think Leggy would know a little more about this than you, he is older and wiser than the rest of us.

I bow down to Leggy's wisdom. After all he was a much better player than I ever was. And yes, he's even older than me too.

He's literally forgotten more than we know about pretty much any topic or subject. What a hero.

Three for me, and two for them.

Thanks for that Jerzy, I'm just waiting for Victor to get back to me before we lock in the shift in venues.

Okay, details are finally set in concrete.

We will be playing a 5v5 (or 6v6 etc, depending on numbers) at Victoria Park (10 min walk from Queen St) at 10.30am on Sunday.

We decided to move it away from Okinarawa (sp?) Park because that was way too far away, and having it on Queen St will allow you all to stumble on over to the game after you get kicked out of your accomodation at 10am.

Even if you don't want to play, show up and heckle those brave enough to battle the hangover and represent their region.

Wellington are currently the holders of the coveted Toilet Seat after winning the last game 13-3 on aggregate, and this will be a special one off match for the trophy, winner takes all.

See you all there!

Ha ha Jerzy, but if you were the most  improved player of the year  in Karori Swifts  Midgets in 1947, then you are most  definitely
older than myself.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

And I was their over-age player.

And that was 11 a.m. Just another Auckland summer day - yet another reason why ASB soccer at grounds like Fred Taylor paddock and in the Waikato, where there's no shade provided in the heat of the afternoon, don't attract numbers. Who wants to stand and roast for 2 hours when you can hit the beach and cool off?

Added to hangover from beverages at Eden Park and surrounding hostelries the previous evening
