Australian Football Facebook is running a 'Gear Up for the A-league day' this friday to help kick-off the A-league season, so Phoenix fans out there get your team gear. merch or colours on and hit the streets or work to show your support for Wellington as they take on the rest of Australia in an exciting season ahead.

So did this Gear Up A-League initiative have its origin in our Fever Friday, or is it something other clubs have done before us?

It's not anything offical, the Australian Football page is fan run. I think that it may have had its origins in FF, but it's probably going to  be a one off for the start of the season (last weekday before the season kicks off etc).

Here was me, sailing along Lambton Quay lunchtime today, a small splash of YF yellow, afloat in a seething Sea of International Rugby colours. Did see a Nix season1/2 top outside Kirks (g'day)
 RR represents!!

Housework done a day early as Mrs Diddy and I will be in transit tomorrow heading for Wellingtopia!!!

And for those who are interested (Junior82...this means YOU!) I kept the pants on today but still wore the Season 1 Polo and listened to Little River Band whiclst doing the chores...
