I have started this thread due to the fuss that has been kicked up over the lack of shirts that were taken off in the last 10 mins of Sundays game.
fever zone rules/expectations are fever zone rules/expectations! doesn't matter if it is a preseason game or not! if you are in the fever zone you should follow/meet certain criteria.
so if you have something to add then please do!
If you are in the fever zone (call yourself a fever member) you should...
1)take your shirt off if we are winning in the 80th min (leave it off until the end)
2)take your shirt off if we gain the lead at any stage after the 80th minute
3)sing along with every chant that is started as loud as you can
4)never sit/always stand
5)where the correct attire (any of the yellow fever or phoenix clothing/bare chested)
6)no whining at the use of swear words or abuse of other players/fans
7)no throwing any froign objects(fitz you can still throw your weight around)

Rules. Great. Let's start a YF police to enforce them at the games. And the secret police also to monitor the activities of Fever members on non-game days to make sure that they 'conform'.
Bollocks.
Bollocks.

Yes I was, in the fever zone as always.
The stupid thing about setting up rules and codes of conduct in the zone is that it will turn a lot of people off. You start telling people 'do this', 'don't do that' (not talking here about cleary unacceptable things like bottle throwing, racist chants etc), and a lot of people will just say bugger off and the zone will start losing appeal for many people. Why would the YF want to shoot themselves in the foot like that?
The whole point of the zone is to make going to the football an enjoyable experience for everyone, so they continue to come back and support the Nix and football in general. If you start telling people in the zone to take their shirts off if the don't want to, or do whatever else, then you start undermining that goal.
I hope that's comprehensible to you, I tried not to use any big words.
