Ok I'm revising my pics based on what I've seen in PSC and also on recent signings.
1. Melbourne - Defence looked good against us and should be pretty threatening up front with Archie
2. Queensland - I like the look of their side, especially Van Dijk who I think will be in contention for the golden boot
3. Sydney - Too much quality in their squad now, so even if they underachieve I'd be surprised if they didn't make the top 4.
4. Us - Perhaps making this call a little bit more with the heart than the head, but we do have a pretty solid squad. Maybe down to fifth if Smeltz doesn't fire and Lochhead signs with 'Boro.
5. Newcastle - Still a lot of quality despite the departures, and a few decent signings have been made as well
6. Adelaide - Pretty strong side, I think all the places in the ladder will be close and 6th doesn't seem to do their squad justice. I don't think they are quite as strong as the teams I've placed above them though.
7. Perth - I actually think they will finish above the Mariners based on some of their new signings, Adrian Trinidad could be particularly good to watch I suspect.
8. Central Coast - A few defections from last season, plus the arrival of El**ch will mean they pick up the wooden spoon. They looked pretty toothless against us, but I still think they will be more or less in the mix, I don't think there will be much of a points difference between 4th and 8th place.
Could be really close, we will have to play bloody well to get that fourth spot. We need to stop dropping points at home, the RoF must be a fortress! At the same time we need to try convert those big defeats into tight draws when we play away. Picking up solid results against other sides away from home will be key to us staying in the mix.
