Are you guys aware the game against us in Jan may have moved to April...like late April?

Yeah it's the Sunday of ANZAC weekend (26th), Monday is a holiday here in NZ :)

Edit: Not sure what this means for the St. Kilda game (Normally 25th April)

Also maybe we could make this an event game given the date and the final game before the finals.

I knew guys still in the process of booking their trip based around the 8th Jan dates, I only got the heads up from someone at the club who said there hadn't been an official newsletter about it yet.
Anyway, it's given me a dilemma as I haven't yet booked.

It's quite annoying, the number opf fixture changes that happen in the A-League can be soo frustrating, all after a "finalised" list is completed.

I'm assuming this is down to this Bat & Ball thingy?

I believe the move of the previously broken up Rd 9 to the end of the season is the result of the ACL fixture date changes (Don't quote me on this)

Na the Stadium is still useable by then. They had to move some other games because of this.

“The Round of 16 matches in the AFC Champions League 2015 will now again be played on a home & away basis, as opposed to the one-off matches which were communicated in the AFC’s original schedule. This significantly impacts the Hyundai A-League in and around the start of the Finals Series and the 2014/15 Season draw which we announced in June.

“As we have seen with the tremendous run of Western Sydney Wanderers in the AFC Champions League this year, the updates to the draw we have made today will give the Hyundai A-League clubs competing in the AFC Champions League 2015 the best opportunity to succeed in that important competition, while also protecting the integrity of the Hyundai A-League 2015 Finals Series. Whilst we would obviously prefer not to make these changes at this stage, this is the reality of the global nature of football – which is also one of the great strengths of our game”.

So this has created a 'new' round

“As a result of the changes, matches that were originally listed in the “floating” Round 9 will be consolidated into a new Round 27 with the naming of the rounds to be amended accordingly.

"Seagull! Seagull, Seagull!"

See look over there ref, not down there, over there.

Guy's explanation of the origin of the Seagull chant at the get together at the Backbencher last Sunday was very funny to learn about.

Originally it was a chant directed at Red Badge's 'Marley', as someone thought he looked like Steven Seagal ... hence "Seagal, Seagal..."

But it amusingly morhped into Seagull.

Is the St. Kilda game going ahead? I thought it lost a lot of money last year?

It did indeed, but the AFL themselves don't care about that (Seems that St Kilda might :P), but no announcement of it being pulled yet. Will keep a look out.

So the North Habour game was axed. The Eden Park game in December will have the Nix reserves as a curtain raiser.

Where is he now? Always thought it was strange that he performed pretty well for us and then dropped entirely off the A-League map.

Went to play state league in West Australia for a while. Then in South Australia (or it might have been Melbourne). Last I heard went back to the US IIRC.

Not mixing him up with Diego Walsh are you? Wiki has Caceres playing WA & Victorian state leagues after leaving us, then Indonesia & Thailand and has him back playing in Perth now.

Why don't we have "PHOENIX" down the front of our socks anymore?

They were closely aligned to Terry, and pulled their sponsorship when Wellnix took over?
