I am actually ok with the draw, sure there is things that would have been better like the Sunday games, but its nice that this year the "home" away games aren't at the start as that really affected the start of our season last year and I also believe it affected the casual support base. As Patrick said, its good that they are set while Westpac can't be used.
Play Brisbane in Round 15 and then again in Round 16, with the Asian Cup break in between the two games.
we play sydney in round 9 before the asian cup break on the 8th of January after the round 15 game.

Other than the Sunday 7pm's, we didn't really get screwed over at all there
Easter Sunday & December 28th, so neither a school day, so lessens adverse impact of time of day.
I know, I know, its serious!
Wouldn't it be good,to just wander along to the stadium, every 2nd Sunday (or Fri or Sat) at the same time and know a game is on #ohhtodream

Well that makes me feel a bit better about the Sunday games also.

To be fair, first few weeks of the season have a hint of that. Something that we missed hugely, and paid for, in 2013/14.
I think this is a reasonable outcome given circumstances (apart from match scheduled on 30th Wedding anniversary #couldbetricky)

I think 2ndBest did a good job building up the angst expectation. Not as bad as I had expected. Hopefully the TBA are close by-ish.
Actually just reading the draw myself, it seems like a very good one. I retract previous uninformed opinion pieces from my comms guy.

CONMEBOL wants clubs from Mexico and New Zealand to Copa Libertadores after 2014. What do you think about it?

anyone know when David Villa's contract starts with City? Assuming round 1? If so we've got them at home round 8. As long as I get to see he him play in the flesh I don't give a shit for the rest of the season.

I did a google translate, according to the article we are moving to CONMEBOL to get out of OFC, but the article is from 2013 :P
We play Perth, Brisbane, Victory and CCM away twice. So thats 3 of last years top four plus a shit trip to the other side of the world x 2

R18 game v Citeh is same day NZ v Sri Lanka in Chch - so unlikely Chch for R18
Kotahitanga. We are one.
12 Pubs locked in for Dec 13 v CCM?
Its no longer a problem.
Phoenix say they are looking for alternative venues during that cr***** thing. Here's one .. the Basin Reserve.. according to some the best little cr***** ground in the entire universe... Well, if it's so good why don't cr***** go and *&^*&^*& use it!!
(I am still in my not 'willing to be reasonable state' after seeing that huge hole between home games. ) If I have it right Jan 4th then March 29th.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Unsuitable for day/night ODI matches. No lights. Can't hold enough people.

This would imply some sort of common sense is involved in the decision, which is possibly being a bit generous.

Diego's Son? Is that you?
Anyone know if FIFA windows have been considered?
Does anyone have any inside knowledge about when a game in Auckland is likely to happen? I've got some flights I need to transfer and was hoping I might be able to head up for that.
Eden Park, Mt Smart and AMI Stadium are all unavailable in Feb/Mar when nix playing three home game on road. Could be some inteteresting venues. NHS, Hamilton, Palmy, New Plymouth, Nelsen, Dunedin.

Well if it's no good for cricket, why not convert it to a lovely little boutique rectangle stadium.

It's perfect for test match cricket. ODI's have never been played there since the stadium was built, so I don't know why it would be a good idea to play World Cup matches there all of a sudden.

Chch CWC is at Hagley, not Chch/AMI stadium... rugby??
Kotahitanga. We are one.
No idea why it isn't available. Maybe rugby. re-turfing?
Mt Smart have a couple of concerts over that time frame.
Hamilton, PN would seem like 2 sensible venues. PN gets the Welly folk up and Hamilton gets the Aucks down.

but he is here for 10 rounds, that should cover every team. Oh wait, this is the A league and that makes too much sense...
Allegedly
Rnd 6 & 7 we do Adelaide then Perth away. Nice to see a little common sense in the draw. The second time we play in Perth is followed up by a trip to Brisbane.
WSW will get Villa as City's R9 game v adelaide is in March. So if he is there for 10 games he should play the round 11 game v WSW
