I know, I know, its serious!
Wow, this is not nearly as bad as I thought it could be. Pretty satisfied with that I think. Not everything going our way (holiday games etc) but overall I think it could definitely be a lot worse.
OH, MIGHTY FOOTBALL GODS (YOU KNOW WE WILL DO ANYTHING TO SUPPLICATE YOU IN CHRISTCHURCH, HONEST):
vs. Melbourne Money Bags with Villa and Duff in Christchurch please in February!!!
I will sell my soul and even watch Manchester City games on TV (I confess I never previously liked them...)
"Round 18: Melbourne City, venue to be confirmed, Saturday February 14."
Big Pete 65, Christchurch
BP - villa only signed for 10 games; presumably first 10. Whats the deal with CHCH stadium in feb/march tho?
Kotahitanga. We are one.
A game in Nelson would attract a lot of people across from Wellington, but my God, Trafalgar Park would be an awful venue if they don't have temporary stands up.
Was going to exhibit angst about the three month gap in home games until I read this thread - I didn't know there was a cricket world cup on. Stupid sleepball. Is that also why one of our home games is a Thursday?
To be fair, the first Sunday 7pm game is during the Christmas period - although the following day is not a stat day - and the second is over easter, so the following day is a stat day.
Where does the Wednesday game come from? I see a Thursday and two Fridays, but no Wednesday...
Far less shit than this potentially could have been. Will take that as a win.
Eden Park, Mt Smart and AMI Stadium are all unavailable in Feb/Mar when nix playing three home game on road. Could be some inteteresting venues. NHS, Hamilton, Palmy, New Plymouth, Nelsen, Dunedin.
AMI booked for rugby. Rule out NHS.
AMI out...? Whaaaaat? That's all we got!
It'll be interesting because I'm pretty sure that there's some sort of contract in place that promises 3 games at AMI over 3 seasons.
CONMEBOL wants clubs from Mexico and New Zealand to Copa Libertadores after 2014. What do you think about it?
http://www.pasionlibertadores.com/fanaticos/FIFA-c...
I did a google translate, according to the article we are moving to CONMEBOL to get out of OFC, but the article is from 2013 :P
All Whites+CONMEBOL=World titles.
Three home games over the Christmas/New years period and one over Easter isn't great.
Oh and no international window
Biff in labour weekend too!

The two Friday night games the nix are in probably won't be free to air in Australia, as they're on at 5:30 Aussie time and both those days also have a game on after the nix game which will probably be the FTA games.

Might not have a lot of choice if all other suitable Auckland venues unavailable?
What about New Plymouth or Whangarei?
According to "kopkiwi" commenting on Stuff, YF are the world's lamest fans. He wishes the the Yellow Fever would show "some class and originality"

Can't we just play all of our games at the Petone Rec? According to the NIMBY's at least 20,000 people use the park everyday. Big profit to be made.
I'm rapt! First 7 game are at Westpac. 100Club looking good. Domey DO NOT move any of the first 7!! Annual Leave forms will be completed and submitted by the morning to guarantee my attendence. BUZZING BIG time!

He'll be an English guy who looks at us and goes "that's not how we do it at home, therefore its crap". Plenty like that. Even some of my mates.
You mean the ones that expect Premier League quality football and that we have a player similar to Lionel Messi playing for us? Yes well, If "Kop" is anything to go by then can we assume he's a Liverpool fan? Therefore the YF is expected to be like their "Kop"? I think not. Difference being about 500 hearty souls V 25,000. Bit of an unfair type comparrison. I read the Kop can take up to 25k.
Pretty crap, too many Sunday games yet again and those 7pm Sunday games are just ridiculous.

yeah, I think people are just used to crap, so are more accepting of different things now.

That Conga looked bloody brilliant from over in Aisle 12! Well done everyone involved. And well done Victory fans who took it in the good spirit it was intended. Then the Fun Police had to get involved.....
security let us do it and didn't interfere in any way. Not a lot of (if any) stadiums in Australia would have the same outcome.
And can you really blame security for sending over some security guards just in case we led 50 odd kids into the middle of a Fever vs Victory knife fight?
'Who are ya' is getting tiresome though.
We sound like a bunch of Bristol Rovers fans.
We are!
I enjoy it. 'Who are ya' at griffiths is one of my favourites.
