Why cant we have stuff like flags and drums and all that shabangabang when all the other a league clubs can?

Stadium rules I believe, nothing to do with the FFA or Phoenix management themselves.

We have flags. But anyone who waves them in front of me all game like some clubs will find them snapped in half

We should allow flares and fire them at opposition players and any opposing fans that dare step on our turf.

How about massive flags being allowed for away games only? I'm sure even Tegal wouldn't mind having some of the dross the Nix produce when away obscured.
Home games - I'm with Tegal - the only point of flares is to set fire to those flags.

The flags we have now are ok,since the guys who have them have common sense and only have them up when the game isn't being played (when teams come out for example).
They're quite cool. Just yeah watching some A league games I think about how I'd hate to be behind those flags as they wave in my face all game.

drums ick, flares- as above, and flagsd are fine as long as they are don't obstruct anyone's viewing of the game.

Flares FTW
Flares are sh*t house. Had a stack load fired at us when we were above the Algerians at the Eng v Alg match in CT. Not enjoyable.

I got sh*te from a woman behind me for holding up my scarf! Id give her a flare facial and a flag beating if I could but Im not that courageous.

Other fan groups, like Yellow Fever have gentelmens agreements for things like flags.
The users dont just use them when they want to.
Sydney choreographs their flags for chants too.
Also. Those flags are made by supporters themselves. They can cost quite a bit and take a lot of time to make if the maker wants them to last a long time.
They have agreements with Stadium officials and security. Like the Fever flags do. Some people even leave their gear at the stadium
Also. Groups like The Cove & The BWB (Victory) consider themselves as ULTRAS, so their commitment to things like this is more intense (Sydney even have a account which you can donate to for future tifo's, and they will make Tifos, and other visual displays to show their support for the team.
Yellow fever isn't like other groups in the way that its not always the same people in the Fever zone. You have families and new people who may be there for the first time and don't really care or want things in their way. It also makes it difficult to organise visual displays if you aren't able to put the message across to everyone in the fever zone.
Not everyone in the Fever Zone is on this website.
Does that make sense?
Im keen to do things. Money, time and organisation are just the problems.Stefan2010-09-27 18:58:51

1 drum leading the chants wouldn't be so bad. Instead of 3 or 4 people having ago.
Flags are good when people know when to put them down. ie Yellow Army flags
Flares should stay a NO NO
Wouldn't want 'Smoke on the water, Fire in the sky'

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Three's a difference between having A single bass drum - like many footy grounds in the UK, and having drums . . which bascially turns into vuvuzela style pandemoneum.
A single drummer:
1. knows how to play a drum
2. has a sense of rythm
3, is familiar with the chants, and knows what to play for each song
4. know when to stop hitting the bloody thing
numbers 1 and 4 are probably the most important. Last thing you want is a bunch of dousch-bag 16 years olds turning up with an assortment of skins hacking away at them ad-infinitim throughout the game... horrid stuff.

Why can one guy bring a drum but I cant?
I have the same issue with megaphones, who does one guy think he is orchestrating everyone in chants etc?
Spontaneous = better.

Megaphones make sure that everyone starts on time. Drums keep everything in time.
Fever zone is renound for having chant time differences.

I really hope Sonny Shaw isn't reading this. The last thing we want is him turning up in the Fever zone with his flags and kiwi soft toy.

Flares are banned by the FFA for all A-league matches. If youve seen one (i think there was one at the heart game) it was there ilegally.

i'd rather us have a trumpet or a bugle insted of a drum.

Don't like that rule. Flares are class.
Three for me, and two for them.
