I thought Diego was still a current player??

True, but I was struggling for a midfielder who'd done sod all in a Nix shirt. Now replaced by George.

Midfield of wingers and strikers, quality.

I never claimed it was a good team, but perhaps it would be a very attacking one?
As you posted, we've done pretty well in the defensive midfield stakes. I could have pick Aloisi or Johnson, but then I would have picked a team with McKain, Felipe, Moss and Smeltz, which wasn't the point.   wolfman2010-10-05 15:04:53

Fixed - how did I forget George, when he was the one who started that train of thought?

As I said, I didn't see season 1, but my impression on here is that Brownlie fell into a similar category as the likes of Johnson, Dodd, and Ferrante (season1 & 2 version), as decent enough A-League players, who put in a decent shift in a Nix shirt. Hence his omission.

No way. He hardly played. Would be NZFC standard, but not A-League!

There was a story going around a while back about a guy who had played in every confederation.

Caceres is with Real Mataram Yogyakarta in indonesia.  Dadi is also in Indonesia with Manado United.

According to wiki Lei lei G** has retired from football due to injury.

83 players have played at least 1 game for the Phoenix. Doesn't include injury replacements that didn't play.

Wrong category. He belongs in the "Players never contracted in any shape or form, that didn't play" group.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Clapham has been an unused sub once before.

GAAAH! Thanks for that, I'd successfully wiped that game from my memory.

Yep. Same here. Complete amnesia. That is why I called Clapham quite wrongly the "never used" player.
But then again, Durante was an unused sub for Australia too, once, wasn't he?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Yes, Durante was a sub (a friendly?) for Aussie, and only in one game. Had got on the pitch, even for a few seconds, he could never have played for the AWs.
