Leonardo Love. Did they sign him from the set of a B grade Porno company or something?

bollocks - you've been brain-washed by the NZ media, with the government involved as well.

Dan Carter was born in Australia and we kidnapped him when he was 18.
Richie McCaw was born in Congo and lived there until he was 17.
Tony Woodcock was made in a factory in China.

Yeah and Carl Hayman was raised by a pack of silverback gorrillas

Cassio always cracks me up. Is there a calculator on the field? Or maybe a digital watch?

A few weeks back one of the commentators said something along the lines of "watch Cassio".

For my money, and has been mentioned, for his name you can't beat Simon Colostomybag of Perth.

And what is with a man under the age of 60 being called Archie? Next there'll be a Cyril and an Arthur in the league.

Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

The name is just funny, wonder if his parents called him Karen and he just shortens it.

Plus he looks like he is 5.

Nah it's an awesome name, and it allows him a song to the tune of "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash.

Not sure if Mrdja's Croatian (soinds Serb/Montenegrin to me, but I stand to be corrected), but you're very wroong on the pronunciation there. In Croatian the R sound is very soft and almost acts as an extra vowel. The correct pronunciation of the two names you've given is Pr-sh-oh and Srn-ah.

Kinda missed the boat on this one - but does anyone else find it strangely ironic how Steven O'Dor has broken his nose twice?

James Robinson from Perth is fast heading toward having the funniest name in the A-League. Even I would have scored half a dozen sitters he's missed last week against the Phoenix and in the first half of tonight's game v the Jets.

That open goal just before halftime was an incredible miss.....!!

I'm Czech rather than Croatian, but in Czech (also a Slavic language) a similar thing happens and both R and L can be used vowels. (Eg: the Czech word for arse is "prdl".)

Anyway, back to the topic, I can't believe no one has nominated "Cassio". Why isn't there a "Cassio watch out!" chant?!? Or "Casios are crap, buy a real watch!"?
