God, I'm dreading this game. Do not have a good feeling about it at all.

Let's just say if you have the same sh*tness from Perth Glory as they where the week before, the coach is in real danger.

After an inquiry and a pleading to keep the faith by the fans from the club, Glory will be going at a 100 miles an hour...

Wellington however normally play some fantastic football when you play Perth...

He's a better player than Ricki is a coach, in fact they're all better.
Maybe Ricki's just better than the orange boy but the orange boy does do good oranges.
Ricki does what?

Thats rubbish, if the orange boy is so good how come we've let in goals just after half time

, because Ricki looks after the team talk, tactics and motovation.
Maybe the orange boy will get his chance one day.
Ricki needs to get advisers in, then sack himself.
Any one of 1,000's of Feverites could do a better motovational job than him. Get a couple into the rooms before the game and at half time in the hope some off the passion rubs off.
Even get them to watch a team with passion, highlights of the Warriors last night will do

There is no real reason not to blood Costa from the bench. A 10 minute at the end when in a stable/controlled game with clear results is never a bad thing.

The stumbling block to this is the League Rule that only allows 4 subs on the bench, one of which is a goalkeeper. This means that if your keeper isn't injured/carded, the manager is committing to his 3 outfield substitutes pre-match. If the rule was changed to allow 7 subs on the bench, Costa could be named along with Coveny/Kwasnik, and Ricki would have the flexibility to make the changes depending on the match situation.

perhaps put the subs up to 5 , 7 seems a bit much for this league (travel costs etc)

You have played some decent football at times unlike us though. Amaral was good for you.

p.s. hope Kwasnik doesn't play.

I've been away for the afternon.
Doddy's clip is my first Youtube posting so sorry if it doesn't work.  I'm using a Mac and the clip works for me so any responses on why it doesn't work would be appreciated.

Oska if you are able to view the video, there is no point to it just as there is no point to our meagre human existence, I've just started paying for bandwidth and uploads etc, and I thought this was a better way of using it than slowly undressing in front of a web cam while Nelly or some such played in the background.

Us to win, by at least 2 goals.
TAB is paying almost $3 for a phoenix win. Could be easy money?

oh right, my bad. Thought you were making an abstract point as to why Dodd should/shouldn't be played

Meanwhile back to the match - as a consequence of last night's match, a mere 5 goal win and we go ahead of Queensland on the table.  Remember Riyadh!  I bet Ricki does.

I know, I know, its serious!

Corkster, nice effort.
One suggestion though, perhaps leave a little more footage on either side of the event you're most keen on.
It jumps too quickly between scenes at the moment.

" absolute pants " that makes both for mobs.
Lets hope the pants say on for everyone sake and we don't get 'down trou'd'.
Both sides should be paying $10 a win and $1.01 a draw.
Possibly a 5 all draw  with own goals all round.
Can't wait till we pay Sydney

auskiwi, are you all those blokes on FFT who have suddenly turned from thinking we're great for the league to the most pants team in history?

For future refference, the FFT match previews have the local radio 'partners' of the clubs playing.

Hey C. Lemon, nope.
I just want us to play like we want to win.
Not a big fan of 'half arsed' anything.
Feel like getting in the sheds before the game, telling Ricki to f**k off  then me giving them a few choice words from the heart to fire 'em up and play with abita soul.

good work Corkster...though I didn't see a great little flick pass about 20-25 minutes into the game? Ahh got it now it's at about 27 to Covs I think, but you sliced it a little bit.

Yeh its hard to say with him isn't it?

Someone might get on the end of one of those passes and crosses and score and we'll call him a genius, but it did seem he had something of an off game. Or perhaps not a lot of like minded players around.

Bit optimistic over at Radio Sport....

Phoenix hope Perth will be an easy win tonight
21/09/2008 5:24 p.m.
The Wellington Phoenix face the bottom placed Perth Glory in tonight's A-League football match hoping to breeze to a win

Expect to see a more adventurous Phoenix side when they take on the Perth Glory in football's A-League tonight.

The Phoenix picked up a hard fought and unspectacular point against the Central Coast Mariners last week, but coach Ricki Herbert is likely to replace one of his defensive midfielder's with a more attacking option, like Chinese play-maker Lei Lei Gao.

Phoenix Midfielder Troy Hearfield says they have to take all three points off the bottom placed Glory. Hearfield says they particularly need the front four or five players to do well tonight.

The match kicks off at 7pm New Zealand time
