I live in Upper Hutt and was working at home yesterday (Wednesday). So sneaked down to watch training for half an hour at lunchtime.

Encouraged to see Tim Payne appearing to take a full part four days out from the game.

If Payne is back I'd like to see us line up like this.
first is on defence and then attack
Mo Al-Taay absolutely has to start for me. His combinations with Payne both in defence and attack are unmatched, and without Rufer we’ll need his “destroyer” capabilities to stop the likes of Nisbet and Torres.

Payne's coming back from injury I'd be surprised if he starts.

I’m picking 2-1 courtesy of a rare David Ball double.

I do not think David Ball ever scored a double, but I am prepared to stand corrected.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

You are correct about this, 15 goals on 15 different occasions. His one and only goal last season was the first time we lost when he scored. That clearly broke him.

Pennington has been gunning for a goal for a while. I reckon he'll nail the winner.

Not to worry Doloras. Which ever way you look at it the Nix are in the box seat for the rest of the season. This game holds a lot of weight but realistically it is mainly weighty for CCM to stay in the title race. Win or even a draw will see us being the likely winners of the league. A loss brings CCM back into the race.

Even if we lose tonight and everyone says on this forum how we've lost the league, I'd still be fairly confident. CCM have such an insane schedule and are now losing further players to international duty, I'd be shocked if this doesn't impact them. Mark my words, CCM will drop points in the final 3 games and give us another opportunity to win the league even if we do lose tonight.

That being said I think a draw tonight is the most probable outcome. Anything can happen in sport though so who knows. Looking forward to this 🔥🔥🔥

I'm a fan for beating Mariners, beating Victory, beating Jets and beating Macarthur.

But I'm with Doloras. We're doomed.

We're not doomed at all.

We're getting 3 points.

You know mate. I said 51 points and win the league before the season even started. And you know that I won't be far wrong.
I don't believe we'll dominate. What we'll do is find a little cunning to get the 3 points.
